Surah Fussilat (Explained in detail) — سورة فصلت - **Verse:** 38 / 54 · **Juz:** 24 · **Mushaf page:** 479 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-fussilat/verse-38 ## Arabic فَاِنِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فَالَّذ۪ينَ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَهُ بِالَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْـَٔمُونَ ## Transcription Fa-ini istakbaroo fallatheenaAAinda rabbika yusabbihoona lahu billayli wannahariwahum la yas-amoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley If they grow arrogant, those who are with your Lord glorify Him night and day and never grow tired. ### Progressive Muslims So, if they become arrogant, then those who are with your Lord glorify Him night and day, and they never despair. ### Shabbir Ahmed But if they are too proud, those who are with your Lord, practically extol His Glory night and day, and tire not. The angels who are its agents are testifying every moment that their Lord is pure and exalted far above that another should be His associate in His Divinity and worship. Now, if a few foolish persons do not believe even after admonition, and turn away from the way that is being followed by the whole universe and persist in following the way of shirk only, let them remain involved in their folly. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Should they -the infidels- continue to be unjustly extravagant in their accounts of themselves and exercise inordinate self-esteem nonetheless, those with Allah in His heaven's realm praise Him and extol His glorious attributes night and day and never do they grow weary. ### Bijan Moeinian It does not matter if the disbelievers persist in their arrogance and not worship the Lord.
