Surah Fussilat (Explained in detail) — سورة فصلت - **Verse:** 22 / 54 · **Juz:** 24 · **Mushaf page:** 478 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-fussilat/verse-22 ## Arabic وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ اَنْ يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَٓا اَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُودُكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ ظَنَنْتُمْ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَعْلَمُ كَث۪يراً مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ ## Transcription Wama kuntum tastatiroona an yashhadaAAalaykum samAAukum wala absarukum walajuloodukum walakin thanantum anna Allahala yaAAlamu katheeran mimma taAAmaloon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley You did not think to shield yourselves from your hearing, sight and skin testifying against you and you thought that Allah would never know much of what you did. ### Progressive Muslims And there was no way you could hide from the testimony of your own hearing, or your eyes, or your skins. In fact, you thought that God was unaware of much of what you do. ### Shabbir Ahmed And you did not hide yourselves that your hearing, or your sight or your skins would bear witness against you.
