Then as for ʿĀd: they had waxed proud in the land without cause, and they said: “Who is stronger than us in power?” Had they not considered that God who created them, He was stronger than them in power? And they rejected Our proofs.

‘Ad were arrogant in the land, without any right, saying, ‘Who has greater strength than us?’ Did they not see that Allah, who created them, had greater strength than them? But they renounced Our Signs.
As for 'Aad, they turned arrogant on Earth, without any right, and they said: "Who is mightier than us in strength" Did they not see that God, who created them, was mightier than they in strength And they were denying Our revelations.
Now as for Aad, they behaved proudly in the land doing things contrary to the Truth. And they used to say, "Who is mightier than us in power?" How - could they not realize that Allah, Who created them, is Mightier than they in power? But they went on denying Our Messages, knowingly. ('Ja'hd' = Rejecting the Truth knowingly (27:14)).

So those who were 'Ad turned insolent unjustly in the land, and said: "Who is stronger than us?" Did they not see that God who created them was greater far in power than they? Yet they refused to believe Our signs.
As for 'Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.
Now as for Ad, they walked arrogantly on earth, against all right, and saying, "Who could have a power greater than ours?" Why - were they, then, not aware that God, who created them, had a power greater than theirs? But they went on rejecting Our messages;
As for A'ad, they were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: Who is mightier than us in power? Could they not see that Allah Who created them, He was mightier than them in power? And they denied Our revelations.
As for Ad, they waxed proud in the land without justification and said: "Who is greater than we in strength?" Did they not see that Allah, Who created them, is greater in strength than they? They continued to deny Our Signs,
As to 'Ad (the 'Adites) who were unjustly extravagant in their accounts of themselves; they counselled deaf and, with inordinate self-esteem insolently said: "Who is greater than us in power; we are the mighty ones yet". Do they not see that Allah Who created them is infinitely greater in power and far mightier than they are and they continued to reject Our revelations.
People of Ad became increasingly arrogant for no reason. They were challenging any one to be stronger than them. Did they not realize that God, who created them at first place, is much more powerful than they? Yet they refused to submit to their Lord.
As for ‘Âd, they were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: "Who is mightier than us in strength?" See they not that Allâh, Who created them was mightier in strength than them. And they used to deny Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.)!
Now the 'Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) truth and reason, and said: "Who is superior to us in strength?" What! did they not see that Allah, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Our Signs!
As for ’Ȃd, they acted arrogantly throughout the land with no right, boasting, "Who is superior to us in might?" Did they not see that Allah ˹Himself˺, Who created them, was far superior to them in might? Still they persisted in denying Our signs.
As for ‘Ād, they showed arrogance in the land with no right (to do so), and said, "Who is stronger than us in power?" Did they not see that Allah, who created them, is stronger than them in power? And they used to reject Our signs.
The people of 'Ad behaved arrogantly throughout the land without any right, saying, "Who could be stronger than us?" Did they not realize that God, who created them, was stronger than them?’ They continued to reject Our message,

Then as to A'ad, they were unjustly arrogant in the land, and they said, "Who is mightier in strength than we?" Did they not see that Allah Who created them was mightier than they in strength? But they denied Our Signs!
So, as for Aad, they waxed proud in the earth untruthfully (Literally: with other than truth) and said, "Who is more valiant than us in power?" And did they not see that Allah, Who created them, Ever He, is more valiant than them in power? And they used to repudiate Our signs.
As to the tribe of Ad, they behaved insolently in the earth, without reason, and said, who is more mighty than we in strength? Did they not see that God, who had created them, was more mighty than they in strength? And they knowingly rejected our signs.
Now the ‘Ad behaved haughtily through the land against all truth and reason, and said: "Who is superior to us in strength?" What! Did they not see that Allah, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? And they continued to reject Our Signs!
As for (the people of) `âd, they behaved arrogantly in the land without any justification and said, `Who is mightier than we?' Do they not see that Allâh, Who had created them, is Mightier than they? And (not only that they behaved arrogantly) they went on denying Our Messages persistently.
As for ‘Ād, they acted arrogantly in the earth unduly, and they said, ‘Who is more powerful than us?’ Did they not see that Allah, who created them, is more powerful than them? They used to impugn Our signs;
