Surah Fatir (The Originator) — سورة فاطر - **Verse:** 24 / 45 · **Juz:** 22 · **Mushaf page:** 436 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-fatir/verse-24 ## Arabic اِنَّٓا اَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَش۪يراً وَنَذ۪يراًۜ وَاِنْ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اِلَّا خَلَا ف۪يهَا نَذ۪يرٌ ## Transcription Inna arsalnaka bilhaqqibasheeran wanatheeran wa-in min ommatin illa khalafeeha natheer ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We have sent you with the truth bringing good news and giving warning. There is no community to which a warner has not come. ### Progressive Muslims We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of good news, and a warner. There is not a nation but a warner came to it. ### Shabbir Ahmed Verily, We have sent you with the Truth, as a bearer of glad news, and a Warner. And there is not a nation but a Warner has passed among them. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation We have sent thee with the truth as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner. We have sent thee with the Truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner; and there is not a nation but a warner hath passed among them. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary We have sent you with the Truth to proclaim good news and to warn. Never has there been a nation but a warner came to it.[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] That there has been no community in the world for whose guidance Allah did not appoint the Prophets. This has been stated at several places in the Quran. In (Surah Ar- Raad, Ayat 7), it was said: "Every people has its guide". In (Surah Al-Hijr, Ayat 10): “O Prophet, We have already sent Messengers before you among many of the ancient peoples”. In (Surah An-Nahl, Ayat 36): “We sent to every community a Messenger” and in (Surah Ash-Shuara, Ayat: 208): “We have never destroyed a habitation unless it had its warners to administer admonition”. But, in this connection, one should note two things so that there remains no misunderstanding. First, one and the same Prophet is enough for the lands to which his message may reach. It is not necessary that Prophets be sent to every separate habitation and to every separate community. Second, no new Prophet needs to be sent as long as the message and teaching and guidance given by a previous Prophet remains safe and intact. It is not necessary that a separate Prophet be sent for every race and every generation. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab We have sent you with the spirit of truth guiding into all truth and never was there a nation but had a Messenger, a spectacle and a warning. ### Bijan Moeinian O’ Mohammad, you are armed with the truth. You bear the good news [for those who have chosen to believe] and warn [those who still have the chance to improve themselves.] I have sent a Warner to every nation [none can claim that he has not been warned.] ### Al-Hilali & Khan Verily We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner.
