Surah Fatir (The Originator) — سورة فاطر - **Verse:** 11 / 45 · **Juz:** 22 · **Mushaf page:** 434 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-fatir/verse-11 ## Arabic وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ اَزْوَاجاًۜ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ اُنْثٰى وَلَا تَضَعُ اِلَّا بِعِلْمِه۪ۜ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِنْ مُعَمَّرٍ وَلَا يُنْقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِه۪ٓ اِلَّا ف۪ي كِتَابٍۜ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَس۪يرٌ ## Transcription Wallahu khalaqakum min turabinthumma min nutfatin thumma jaAAalakum azwajan wamatahmilu min ontha wala tadaAAu illabiAAilmihi wama yuAAammaru min muAAammarin walayunqasu min AAumurihi illa fee kitabin inna thalikaAAala Allahi yaseer ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Allah created you from dust and then from a drop of sperm and then made you into pairs. No female becomes pregnant or gives birth except with His knowledge. And no living thing lives long or has its life cut short without that being in a Book. That is easy for Allah. ### Progressive Muslims And God created you from dust, then from a seed, then He made you into pairs. And no female becomes pregnant, nor gives birth, without His knowledge. Nor does anyone have his life extended, or his life is shortened, except in a record. This is easy for God. ### Shabbir Ahmed (Recall your common humble origin. ) Allah created you from dust, then from male and female gametes, and then He makes you pairs. And no female becomes pregnant, nor gives birth without His Knowledge (according to His Appointed Science, without exceptions). No one lives long, and no one lives short, but by His Law (3:144). Behold, all this is easy to Allah. This is easy for GOD. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira It is God who created you from dust, then from a sperm, then formed you into pairs. Neither does a female conceive nor gives birth without His knowledge; nor do the old grow older or become younger in years but in accordance with the law (of nature). Indeed the law of God works inevitably. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy. ### Muhammad Asad And [remember:] God creates [every one of] you out of dust, then out of a drop of sperm; and then He fashions you into either of the two sexes. And no female conceives or gives birth unless it be with His knowledge; and none that is long-lived has his days lengthened - and neither is aught lessened of his days - unless it be thus laid down in [God’s] decree: for, behold, all this is easy for God. ### Marmaduke Pickthall Allah created you from dust, then from a little fluid, then He made you pairs (the male and female). No female beareth or bringeth forth save with His knowledge. And no-one groweth old who groweth old, nor is aught lessened of his life, but it is recorded in a Book, Lo! that is easy for Allah. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Allah[1] created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm,[2] then He made you into pairs. No female conceives, nor delivers (a child) except with His knowledge. None is given a long life nor is any diminished in his life but it is written in a Book.[3] Surely that is quite easy for Allah.[4] _Footnotes_ - [1] From here again the discourse is directed to the common people. - [2] That is, man in the first instance was created from the dust directly. Then his race was perpetuated through the sperm-drop. - [3] That is, it is pre-ordained for everyone who is born in this world how long he will live. If a person lives a long life, he does so by Allah’s decree, and if another one lives a short life, he too lives so by Allah’s decree. Some ignorant people give the argument that in the past the death rate of the newly born children used to be high, and now it has been checked by the advancement of the medical science. And the people used to live short lives in the past, now due to better medical facilities the life span has increased. But this argument could be presented in refutation of the Quranic argument only when it could be ascertained that Allah, for instance, had preordained a two year life for a certain person, and the modern medical facilities have enhanced it by a day. If a person has no such knowledge, he cannot refute this Quranic statement on any rational grounds. Only on the basis of the statistics that the death rate among children has fallen, or that the people now are living longer lives, it cannot be argued that man has now become able to change the decrees of Allah. Rationally it is not impossible that Allah might have fixed different life spans for the people born in different periods, and this might also be Allah Almighty’s decree that man in such and such an age would be granted curative power to treat such and such diseases, and in such and such a period man would be given greater means for longevity. - [4] That is, it is not at all difficult for Allah to give commands and pass judgments about each individual of His countless creations when He possesses detailed and perfect knowledge about them. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And Allah raised you –people- by special creations from dust then He made you evolve from a constituent part of emitted fluid* and He made of you two sex divisions of organic beings, a male and a female. * And no female human or animal conceives a seed in her womb or gives birth to a child or an animal respectively but comes to His knowledge, nor does he who is carried through the stealing steps of age to advanced life proceed or recede in age but in accordance with what is brought to book and this presents no difficulty to Allah ### Bijan Moeinian Remember that God created you from the matter, then [from the first man] continued your reproduction through a tiny sperm, then divided you into male and female. [God has absolute control over the population.] No woman becomes pregnant, or gives birth, without His knowledge. No one survives above his pre-determined life nor will live shorter. Keeping control over man’s life is easy for God. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And Allâh did create you (Adam) from dust, then from Nutfah (male and female discharge semen drops i.e. Adam’s offspring), then He made you pairs (male and female). And no female conceives or gives birth but with His Knowledge. And no aged man is granted a length of life nor is a part cut off from his life (or another man’s life), but is in a Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz ) Surely, that is easy for Allâh. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali And Allah did create you from dust; then from a sperm-drop; then He made you in pairs. And no female conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge. Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Decree (ordained). All this is easy to Allah. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran And ˹it is˺ Allah ˹Who˺ created you from dust,[1] then ˹developed you˺ from a sperm-drop, then made you into pairs.[2] No female ever conceives or delivers without His knowledge. And no one’s life is made long or cut short but is ˹written˺ in a Record.[3] That is certainly easy for Allah. ### Taqi Usmani Allah has created you from dust, then from a drop of semen, then He made you couples. No female conceives (a baby) nor gives birth (to it) without His knowledge; and no aged person is made to advance in age, nor is a part curtailed from his age, but all this is (recorded) in a book. Surely all this is easy for Allah. ### Abdul Haleem It is God who created you from dust and later from a drop of fluid; then He made you into two sexes; no female conceives or gives birth without His knowledge; no person grows old or has his life cut short, except in accordance with a Record: all this is easy for God. ### Arthur John Arberry God created you of dust then of a sperm-drop, then He made you pairs. No female bears or brings forth, save with His knowledge; and none is given long life who is given long life neither is any diminished in his life, but it is in a Book. Surely that is easy for God. ### E. Henry Palmer God created you from earth, then from a clot; then lie made you pairs; and no female bears or is delivered, except by His knowledge; nor does he, who is aged reach old age, or is aught diminished from his life, without it is in the Book; verily, that is easy unto God. ### Hamid S. Aziz Whoever desires power (or honour), then to Allah belongs the power (or honour) wholly. Unto Him do ascend good words, and good deeds does He exalt; and as for those who plan evil deeds, they shall have a severe chastisement; and their plans shall fail. ### Mahmoud Ghali And Allah created you from dust, thereafter from a sperm-drop; thereafter He made you pairs; and in no way can a female conceive or give birth except with His Knowledge; and in no way can anyone be given a long age, (i. e., bear the burden of) nor is anyone diminished in his age, except that it is in a Book. Surely that is easy for Allah. ### George Sale God created you first of the dust, and afterwards of seed: And He hath made you man and wife. No female conceiveth, or bringeth forth, but with his knowledge. Nor is any thing added unto the age of him whose life is prolonged, neither is any thing diminished from his age, but the same is written in the book of God's decrees. Verily this is easy with God. ### Syed Vickar Ahamed And Allah created you from dust (at first); Then from a sperm-ovary drop (Nutfah); Then He made you in pairs. And no female becomes pregnant, or lays down (her baby), except with His knowledge. Also no old man is given more number of days, and no part is taken away from his life; except as it is in a record (with Allah). All this is easy for Allah. ### Amatul Rahman Omar And Allâh created you out of dust and then from a drop of fluid and then made you pairs (- male and female). And no female conceives (a child) nor does she give birth (to it) but it is in accordance with His (- the Creator's) knowledge. And no one who is granted long life gets his life prolonged or gets it reduced but (all this) is in (conformity with) some law. Verily, it is easy for Allâh (to impose such laws). ### Ali Quli Qarai Allah created you from dust, then from a drop of [seminal] fluid, then He made you mates. No female conceives or delivers except with His knowledge, and no elderly person advances in years, nor is anything diminished of his life, but it is [recorded] in a Book. That is indeed easy for Allah. ### Ahmed Hulusi — Türkçe Kur'an Çözümü Allah sizi bir topraktan, sonra bir nutfeden yarattı; sonra sizi çiftler (ikili genetik sarmal) olarak meydana getirdi. O'nun (genetik sarmaldan açığa çıkan) ilmi dışında hiçbir dişi (üreten) ne hamile kalır (üretim aşamasına geçer) ve ne de doğurur (yeni bir canlı meydana getirir). . . Bir yaşam sahibinin ömür süresi muhakkak bir kitapta (yaratılış genetik kodlarında) yazılıdır! Muhakkak ki bu Allah üzerine çok kolaydır. ### Ali Bulaç — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Türkçe Anlamı Allah sizi topraktan yarattı, sonra bir damla sudan. Sonra da sizi çift çift kıldı. O'nun bilgisi olmaksızın, hiç bir dişi gebe kalmaz ve doğurmaz da. Ömür sürene, ömür verilmesi ve onun ömründen kısaltılması da mutlaka bir kitapta (yazılı)dır. Gerçekten bu, Allah'a göre kolaydır. ### Bayraktar Bayraklı — Yeni Bir Anlayışın Işığında Kur'an Meali Allah sizi topraktan, sonra embriyodan yarattı. Sonra sizi çiftler kıldı. Şüphesiz bunlar, Allah'a kolaydır. ### Diyanet İşleri — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Meali Allah, sizi önce topraktan, sonra da az bir sudan (meniden) yarattı. Sonra sizi (erkekli dişili) eşler yaptı. Allah'ın ilmine dayanmadan hiçbir dişi ne hamile kalır, ne de doğurur. Herhangi bir kimseye uzun ömür verilmez, yahut ömrü kısaltılmaz ki bu bir kitapta (Levh-i Mahfuz'da yazılı) olmasın. Şüphesiz bu, Allah'a kolaydır. ### Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Hem Allah sizi bir topraktan, sonra bir nufteden yarattı, sonra sizi çiftler kıldı, onun ılmine ıktiran etmeksizin ne bir dişi hamil olur ne de vaz'eder, bir yaşatılana çok ömür verilmek de, ömründen eksiltmek de behemehal bir kitabda yazılıdır, şübhe yok ki o Allaha göre kolaydır ### Elmalılı (sadeleştirilmiş) Hem Allah sizi bir topraktan, sonra bir nutfeden yarattı, sonra da sizi çiftler yaptı. O'nun bilgisi dışında ne bir dişi gebe olabilir, ne de doğurabilir. Bir yaşatılanın ömrünün uzatılması da kısaltılması da kesinlikle bir kitapta yazılıdır, şüphe yok ki, o Allah'a göre çok kolaydır. ### Gültekin Onan Tanrı sizi topraktan yarattı, sonra bir damla sudan. Sonra da sizi çift çift kıldı. O'nun bilgisi olmaksızın, hiç bir dişi gebe kalmaz ve doğurmaz da. Ömür sürene, ömür verilmesi ve onun ömründen kısaltılması da mutlaka bir kitapta (yazılı)dır. Gerçekten bu, Tanrı'ya göre kolaydır. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Allah sizi bir toprakdan, sonra bir meniden yaratdı. Sonra da sizi çift çift yapdı. Onun ilmi olmaksızın hiçbir dişi gebe olmaz, doğurmaz da. Ömrü uzatılana çok ömür verilmesi, (kısaltılanın) ömründen eksiltilmesi de haaric olmamak üzere (hepsi) bir kitabda (yazılı) dır. Şübhe yok ki bu (nlar). Allaha göre kolaydır. ### İbni Kesir Allah, sizi topraktan yaratmıştır, sonra bir damla sudan sonra da sizleri çiftler olarak var etmiştir. Hiç bir dişi O'nun bilgisi olmadan hamile kalmaz ve doğum yapmaz. Bir ömürlünün çok yaşaması ve ömrünün azalması ancak kitabdadır. Muhakkak ki bu; Allah' a pek kolaydır. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Ve (hatırlayın) Allah sizi(n her birinizi) topraktan yaratır, sonra da bir damla spermden ve sonra sizi iki cinsten biri şekline sokar. Hiçbir dişi O'nun bilgisi olmadan ne hamile kalabilir, ne de doğum yapabilir ve (Allah'ın) fermanında öngörülmedikçe hiç kimse ömrünü uzatamaz ve hiç kimse de onu kısaltamaz; ama bunlar, kuşkusuz, Allah için kolaydır. ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Allah, sizi topraktan, sonra spermden yaratmıştır. Sonra sizi çiftler kıldı. Bir dişi O'nun haberi olmadan ne gebe kalır, ne de doğurur. Ömrü uzun olanın, ömrünün uzatılması veya ömründen kısatılması ancak bir kitaptadır. Bu Allah'a çok kolaydır. ### Süleyman Ateş — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Allah sizi önce topraktan, sonra nutfe (sperm)den yarattı, sonra sizi çift çift yaptı.
