Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) — سورة الزمر - **Verse:** 69 / 75 · **Juz:** 24 · **Mushaf page:** 465 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-az-zumar/verse-69 ## Arabic وَاَشْرَقَتِ الْاَرْضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ وَج۪ٓيءَ بِالنَّبِيّ۪نَ وَالشُّهَدَٓاءِ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ ## Transcription Waashraqati al-ardu binoori rabbihawawudiAAa alkitabu wajee-a binnabiyyeenawashshuhada-i waqudiya baynahum bilhaqqiwahum la yuthlamoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley And the earth will shine with the Pure Light of its Lord; the Book will be put in place; the Prophets and witnesses will be brought; it will be decided between them with the truth; and they will not be wronged. ### Progressive Muslims And the Earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forth; and it will then be judged between them with truth, and they will not be wronged. ### Shabbir Ahmed And the earth will shine bright with the Light of its Lord. And they will not be wronged, ### Marmaduke Pickthall And the earth shineth with the light of her Lord, and the Book is set up, and the prophets and the witnesses are brought, and it is judged between them with truth, and they are not wronged. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary The earth shall shine with the light of its Lord, and the Scroll (of deeds) shall be set in place, and the Prophets and all witnesses[1] shall be brought, and judgement shall be justly passed among them, and they shall not be wronged; _Footnotes_ - [1] "The witnesses": those who will bear witness to the effect that the Message of Allah had been conveyed to the people as well as those who will bear witness to the acts and deeds of the people. It is not necessary that these witnesses will be only human beings. The angels, the jinns, the beasts, men’s own limbs, their dwelling places and the trees and stones, will all be included among the witnesses. 7 ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab There and then the earth will be flood-lit with its Creator's indescribable bright, shining and splendent light and the archetypal Book of all records is laid wide open and all the Prophets and the witnesses will be brought up to the August and Ultimate Judicial sitting and the divine sentences are being decided with equity and truth and no one shall ever be wronged. ### Bijan Moeinian Then the earth will shine with the light of its Lord and the records of people’s deeds will be laid open.
