Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) — سورة الزمر - **Verse:** 68 / 75 · **Juz:** 24 · **Mushaf page:** 465 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-az-zumar/verse-68 ## Arabic وَنُفِـخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْاَرْضِ اِلَّا مَنْ شَٓاءَ اللّٰهُۚ ثُمَّ نُفِـخَ ف۪يهِ اُخْرٰى فَاِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌ يَنْظُرُونَ ## Transcription Wanufikha fee assoori fasaAAiqaman fee assamawati waman fee al-ardiilla man shaa Allahu thumma nufikha feehiokhra fa-itha hum qiyamun yanthuroon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley The Trumpet will be blown and those in the heavens and those in the earth will all lose consciousness, except those Allah wills. Then it will be blown a second time and at once they will be standing upright, looking on. ### Progressive Muslims And the horn will be blown, whereupon everyone in the heavens and the Earth will be struck unconscious, except those spared by God. Then it will be blown another time, whereupon they will all rise up, looking. ### Shabbir Ahmed When the Trumpet will be sounded the high leaders and the masses will be stunned except those who are already walking the Divine Path. And then it will sound again, and behold, they will stand in awe seeing the Truth. When the blast is sounded the second time, they will stand up all expectant. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on. ### Muhammad Asad And [on that Day, ] the trumpet [of judgment] will be sounded, and all [creatures] that are in the heavens and all that are on earth will fall down senseless, unless they be such as God wills [to exempt]. And then it will sound again - and lo! standing [before the Seat of Judgment], they will begin to see [the truth]! ### Marmaduke Pickthall And the trumpet is blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are in the earth swoon away, save him whom Allah willeth. Then it is blown a second time, and behold them standing waiting! ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary And the Trumpet shall be blown[1] and all who are in the heavens and the earth shall fall down dead save those whom Allah wills. Besides, in Surah An-Naml there is the mention of another blowing of the Trumpet before these two, on hearing which everything in the earth and the heavens will be struck with terror (verse 87). On this very basis, the Ahadith mention that the Trumpet will be blown thrice: ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab The trumpet will be blown and sounded emitting so violent penetrating, shocking and thunderous blast proclaiming the Final Event so as to overwhelm all those in the heavens and on earth who shall be stunned into unconsciousness save those whom Allah excepts as He will. Next will follow a Second blast and there, they are all up upon their feet looking around. ### Bijan Moeinian When the trumpet is blown, every living species in the earth and heavens will fall down dead (except a few that God will let them stay alive. ) When the second trumpet is blown, all will resurrect looking around. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will swoon away, except him whom Allâh wills. Then it will be blown a second time, and behold they will be standing, looking on (waiting).[1] ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali The Trumpet will (just) be sounded, when all that are in the heavens and on earth will swoon, except such as it will please Allah (to exempt). Then will a second one be sounded, when, behold, they will be standing and looking on! ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran The Trumpet will be blown and all those in the heavens and all those on the earth will fall dead, except those Allah wills ˹to spare˺. Then it will be blown again and they will rise up at once, looking on ˹in anticipation˺. ### Taqi Usmani And Horn (Sūr ) will be blown, and all those in the heavens and all those in the earth will faint, except the one whom Allah wills (otherwise). Thereafter, it will be blown once again, and suddenly they will stand up, looking around. ### Abdul Haleem the Trumpet will be sounded, and everyone in the heavens and earth will fall down senseless except those God spares. It will be sounded once again and they will be on their feet, looking on. ### Arthur John Arberry For the Trumpet shall be blown, and whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth shall swoon, save whom God wills. Then it shall be blown again, and lo, they shall stand, beholding. ### E. Henry Palmer And the trumpet shall be blown, and those who are in the heavens and in the earth shall swoon, save whom God pleases. Then it shall be blown again, and, lo! they shall stand up and look on. ### Hamid S. Aziz And the trumpet shall be blown, and all those that are in the heavens and all those that are in the earth shall swoon away (or become unconscious), except such as Allah wills; then it shall be blown again, then lo! They shall stand up waiting. ### Mahmoud Ghali And the Trumpet is blown; then whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth will (get) stunned, excepting whom Allah decides (to exempt). Thereafter it will be blown another time; then, only then will they be upright, looking on! ### George Sale The trumpet shall be sounded, and whoever are in heaven, and whoever are on earth shall expire; except those whom God shall please to exempt from the common fate. Afterwards it shall be sounded again; and behold, they shall arise and look up. ### Syed Vickar Ahamed And the Trumpet will be blown (by Angel Israfil, and sounded loudly), when all that are in the heavens and on earth will be dizzy (and faint), except what will please Allah. Then will a second (Trumpet) one be sounded, when, look, they will be standing and looking! ### Amatul Rahman Omar (That Day) there shall be a blast on the trumpet and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will fall into a swoon except whom Allâh will like (to spare). Sonra bir daha ona üfürüldü, artık onlar ayağa kalkmış durumda gözetliyorlar. ### Bayraktar Bayraklı — Yeni Bir Anlayışın Işığında Kur'an Meali Sur'a üflenince, Allah'ın diledikleri hariç olmak üzere, göklerde ve yerde ne/kim varsa hepsi bayılacaktır. Sonra Sur'a bir daha üflenince, bir de ne göresin, onlar ayağa kalkmış bakıyorlar. ### Diyanet İşleri — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Meali Sur'a üflenir ve Allah'ın dilediği kimseler dışında göklerdeki herkes ve yerdeki herkes ölür. Sonra ona bir daha üflenir, bir de bakarsın onlar kalkmış bekliyorlar. ### Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Ve sur üflenmiştir de Göklerde kim var, Yerde kim varsa çarpılıp yıkılmıştır, ancak Allahın dilediği müstesna, sonra ona bir daha üflenmiştir, bu kerre de hep onlar kalmışlar bakıyorlardır ### Elmalılı (sadeleştirilmiş) Ve Sur üflenmiştir. Sonra bir daha ona üfürüldü, artık onlar ayağa kalkmış durumda gözetliyorlar. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim (Birinci) "Suur" a üfürülmüş (üfürülecek), artık Allahın diledikleri müstesna olmak üzere, göklerde kim varsa, yerde kim varsa düşüb olmuşdur (ölecekdir). Sonra ona bir daha üfürülmüşdür (üfürülecekdir). O anda görürsün ki (ölüler dirilib) ayakda bakınız duruyorlar! ### İbni Kesir Ve Sur'a üflenmiştir. Artık Allah'ın dilediği bir yana, göklerde olanlar ve yerde olanlar baygın düşmüştür. Sonra ona bir daha üflenmiş ve bir de bakacaksın ki ayakta bakınıp duruyorlar. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı (O Gün hesap) suru üflenecek; ve yerde, gökte ne varsa hepsi, Allah'ın (hariç tutmak) istedikleri dışında, düşüp bayılacaklar. Sonra sur yeniden üflenecek; işte o zaman (yargı kürsüsü önünde) duranlar (hakikati) görmeye başlayacaklar! ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Sur'a üflenmiş, Allah'ın diledikleri dışında yerde ve göklerde kim varsa baygın düşmüştür/ölmüştür. Sonra ona tekrar üflendiği zaman onlar ayağa kalkar ve bakıp dururlar. ### Süleyman Ateş — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Sur'a üflenmiş, göklerde ve yerde olanlar (korkudan) bayılmışlar, ancak Allah'ın dilediği sarsılmamıştır. Sonra ona bir daha üflenmiştir, birden onlar kalkmış, bakıyorlardır. ### Yaşar Nuri Öztürk — Kur'an-ı Kerim Meali Sura üflenmiştir; Allah'ın dilediği kimseler dışında göklerde kim var, yerde kim varsa çarpılıp yere yıkılmıştır. Sonra sura bir daha üflenmiştir. İşte hepsi ayağa kalkmış bakıyorlar. ### Mustafa İslamoğlu — Hayat Kitabı Kur’an Ve sura üflenecek: derken Allah'ın diledikleri dışında göklerde ve yerde bulunan herkes dehşetten çarpılmışçasına düşüp bayılacaktır. Sonra sura bir daha üflenecek: işte o zaman onlar yerlerinden doğrulup (gerçeği) görecekler. ### Erhan Aktaş (Eski Baskı) — Kerim Kur'an Sura üflenmiş, Allah'ın dilediği hariç göklerde ve yerde olanlar çarpılıp yıkılıvermiştir. Allah'ın dilediği kimseler dışında, göklerde ve yeryüzünde bulunan herkes bayılmıştır.
