Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) — سورة الزمر - **Verse:** 51 / 75 · **Juz:** 24 · **Mushaf page:** 463 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-az-zumar/verse-51 ## Arabic فَاَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُواۜ وَالَّذ۪ينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هٰٓؤُ۬لَٓاءِ سَيُص۪يبُهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُواۙ وَمَا هُمْ بِمُعْجِز۪ينَ ## Transcription Faasabahum sayyi-atu makasaboo wallatheena thalamoo min haola-isayuseebuhum sayyi-atu ma kasaboo wamahum bimuAAjizeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley The evil deeds they earned caught up with them. And the evil deeds which the wrongdoers among these people earn will also catch up with them and they can do nothing to prevent it. ### Progressive Muslims So, they suffered the evil of what they had earned. And those who transgressed from among these here will suffer the evil of what they earned; they cannot escape. ### Shabbir Ahmed They destabilized the lives of others, and their very deeds fell back upon themselves. And the same will happen to the oppressors always - their deeds falling back upon themselves, and they will never be able to evade the Law of Requital. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And the evil deeds they earned befell them. And those who do wrong among these — there will befall them the evil deeds of what they have earned; and they will not escape. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation So, they suffered the evil of what they had earned. Similarly, the transgressors among the present generation will suffer the consequences of their evil works; they cannot escape. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira Then the worst of what they had done overtook them. So will the evil deeds of those who are sinners among them recoil back on them. They cannot get the better (of Us). ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And the evil consequences of what they earned struck them. And those who have wronged of these [people] will be afflicted by the evil consequences of what they earned; and they will not cause failure. ### Muhammad Asad for all the evil deeds that they had wrought fell [back] upon them. And [the same will happen to] people of the present time who are bent on wrongdoing: all the evil deeds that they have ever wrought will fall [back] upon them, and never will they be able to elude [God]! ### Marmaduke Pickthall But the evils that they earned smote them; and such of these as do wrong, the evils that they earn will smite them; they cannot escape. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary and the evil consequences of their deeds overtook them. The wrongdoers among these will also be overtaken by the evil consequences of their deeds. They will be utterly unable to frustrate (Us). ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And in consequence did the evil line of conduct they committed themselves to and the evil deeds they conferred on themselves spring back and recoil on them. And similarly shall the evil deeds of the wrongful among those of the present and those to come spring back and recoil on them and they, these and those, are not in a position to overpower Allah or upset His plan ### Bijan Moeinian The ones before them faced the consequences of their evil deeds and the wicked ones of today also shall soon face the evil consequences of their deeds. None can escape God. ### Al-Hilali & Khan So, the evil results of that which they earned overtook them. And those who did wrong of these [people to whom you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) have been sent] will also be overtaken by the evil results (torment) for that which they earned; and they will never be able to escape.[1] ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Nay, the evil results of their Deeds overtook them. And the wrong-doers of this (generation)- the evil results of their Deeds will soon overtake them (too), and they will never be able to frustrate (Our Plan)! ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran So the evil ˹consequences˺ of their deeds overtook them. And the wrongdoers among these ˹pagans˺ will be overtaken by the evil ˹consequences˺ of their deeds. And they will have no escape. ### Taqi Usmani and they were overtaken by the evils of what they had earned; and the wrongdoers from these (infidels too) will be overtaken by the evils of what they have earned - and they will not be able to escape. ### Abdul Haleem they suffered its evil effects. Today’s wrongdoers will also suffer the evil effects of their deeds: they will not escape. ### Arthur John Arberry in that the evils of that they earned smote them. The evildoers of these men, they too shall be smitten by the evils -- of that they earned; they will not be able to frustrate it. ### E. Henry Palmer and there befell them the evil deeds of what they had earned: and those who do wrong of these (Meccans), there shall befall them too the evil deeds of what they had earned, nor shall they frustrate Him. ### Hamid S. And whoever of these Meccans shall have acted unjustly, on them likewise shall fall the evils which they shall have deserved; neither shall they frustrate the divine vengeance. ### Syed Vickar Ahamed So, the evil results of their actions overtook them. And for the wrongdoers of this (generation)— The evil results of their actions will (also) soon overtake them, and they will never be able to stop or escape (Our Plan)! ### Amatul Rahman Omar And the evil (consequences) of their deeds did overtake them. As for the wrong-doers from among these (rejecters of the truth), the evil (consequences) of their deeds shall surely overtake them also. Aynı şekilde bunlardan zulmedenlerin de kazandıkları kötülüklerinin cezası başlarına gelecektir. Onlar buna asla engel olamayacaklardır. ### Diyanet İşleri — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Meali Nihayet kazandıkları şeylerin kötülükleri onlara isabet etmişti. Onlardan zulmedenler var ya, kazandıkları şeylerin kötülükleri onlara isabet edecektir. Şunlardan o zulmedenlerin de kazandıklarının kötülükleri başlarına geçecektir, onlar da (bunu) atlatacak değillerdir. ### Gültekin Onan Böylece, kazandıkları kötülükler(in acı sonucu) onlara isabet etti. Bunlardan zulmetmiş olanlara da, kazandıkları kötülükler isabet edecektir. Ve onlar (bunu kendilerine uygulamaktan Tanrı'yı) aciz bırakabilecekler değildirler. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Binnetice o kazandıkları kötülükler onları musıybete uğratmışdı. Şunları içinden zulmedenler (e gelince:) Onların kazandıkları kötülükler de kendilerini çarpacakdır ve onlar da bizim azabımızın önüne geçebilecek değildirler. ### İbni Kesir Böylece kazandıkları kötülükler başlarına geldi. Bunların içinden zulmedenlerin kazandıkları kötülükler de kendilerini çarpacaktır. Ve onlar aciz bırakılacaklar da değillerdir. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı çünkü işledikleri her kötülük, onlara (geri) döner. Ve bugün zulmeden insanlar(ın başlarına da aynı şey gelecektir); işledikleri her kötü fiil (tekrar) kendilerine dönecek ve onlar (Allah'ı) asla aldatamayacaklardır! ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Kazandıklarının azabı, kötülükleri onlara isabet etmişti. Bunlardan zulmedenlere de yaptıklarının kötülükleri erişecektir. Onlar, buna engel olacak değillerdir. ### Yaşar Nuri Öztürk — Kur'an-ı Kerim Meali Sonunda, kazanmış olduklarının çirkinlikleri yakalarına yapışmıştı. Şunların zulmedenlerine de kazandıklarının kötülükleri gelip çatacaktır.
