Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) — سورة الزمر - **Verse:** 34 / 75 · **Juz:** 24 · **Mushaf page:** 461 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-az-zumar/verse-34 ## Arabic لَهُمْ مَا يَشَٓاؤُ۫نَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۜ ذٰلِكَ جَزٰٓؤُا الْمُحْسِن۪ينَۚ ## Transcription Lahum ma yashaoona AAindarabbihim thalika jazao almuhsineen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley They will have anything they wish for with their Lord. That is the recompense of the good-doers. ### Progressive Muslims They shall have what they wish at their Lord. Such is the reward for the good doers. ### Shabbir Ahmed With their Lord, they have all that they could ever desire. Such is the reward of the doers of good to others. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation (For them is what they will with their Lord; that is the reward of the doers of good) ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation They shall have what they wish at their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good - ### Muhammad Asad All that they have ever yearned for awaits them with their Sustainer: such will be the reward of the doers of good. ### Marmaduke Pickthall They shall have what they will of their Lord's bounty. That is the reward of the good: ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary They shall have from their Lord all that they wish for.[1] That is the reward of those that do good, _Footnotes_ - [1] One should note that the words used here are indarabbi- him (with their Lord) and not fil-jannah (in Paradise), and obviously man reaches in the presence of his Lord just after death. Therefore, the intention of the verse seems to be: Not only after entering Paradise but right from the time of death till his entry into Paradise Allah will treat the righteous believer in the same kind manner. The believer will certainly desire to be saved from the torment of barzakh, from the severities of the Day of Resurrection and Judgment, from the humiliation of the Plain of Gathering and from the punishment of his errors and shortcomings, and Allah Almighty will fulfill all his desires. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Allah's grace shall abound in them and they shall be privileged with divine dispensations; they shall have what they will in the realm of heaven, for this is the requital reaped by those who perfect their illustrious toils and turn their thoughts on moral excellence and benevolence and imprint their deeds with wisdom and piety. ### Bijan Moeinian Their Lord will give them whatever they wish. Such is the way God rewards the righteous ones. ### Al-Hilali & Khan They shall have all that they will desire with their Lord.
