Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) — سورة الزمر - **Verse:** 33 / 75 · **Juz:** 24 · **Mushaf page:** 461 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-az-zumar/verse-33 ## Arabic وَالَّذ۪ي جَٓاءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِه۪ٓ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ ## Transcription Wallathee jaa bissidqiwasaddaqa bihi ola-ika humu almuttaqoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley He who brings the truth and those who confirm it – those are the people who have taqwa. ### Progressive Muslims And those who came with the truth, and believed in it, these are the righteous. ### Shabbir Ahmed And, the one who brings the Truth and the one who affirms it - they, indeed they, are the upright. (Note that the statements in this verse and the preceding one allude to the Messenger and the recipients of the Message). ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And whoso comes with the truth and confirms it, it is they who are those of prudent fear: ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And those who came with the truth, and believed in it, these are the righteous. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament As for those who promote the truth, and believe therein, they are the righteous. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira He who brings the truth and verifies it, -- such are the people who are God-fearing. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous. ### Muhammad Asad But he who brings the truth, and he who wholeheartedly accepts it as true - it is they, they, who are [truly] conscious of Him! ### Marmaduke Pickthall And whoso bringeth the truth and believeth therein - Such are the dutiful. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary But he who brought the Truth, and those who confirmed it as true, such are the ones who shall be guarded against the chastisement.[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] It means this: As to who will receive punishment in the trial before Allah on the day of Resurrection, you should note it well that the punishment inevitably will be inflicted on those wicked people who invented a false creed that there were also other associates with Allah, who had a share in His Being, authority, powers and rights, and worse than that, when the truth was presented before them, they not only paid no heed to it, but, on the contrary, treated the one who presented it as an impostor. As far as the person who came with the truth, and those who affirmed faith in him, are concerned there can obviously be no question of their receiving any punishment from the court of Allah. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And he who has conveyed the divine message of truth to the people as well as to those who are convinced of its conformity with fact and use it to exhort others to what is good, laudable and divine are those who keep in awe of Allah and entertain the profound reverence dutiful to Him. ### Bijan Moeinian As for those who chose to believe and spread the truth, they are righteous. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) who has brought the truth (this Qur’ân and Islâmic Monotheism) and (those who) believed therein (i.e. the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism), those are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2). ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali And he who brings the Truth and he who confirms (and supports) it - such are the men who do right. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran And the one who has brought the truth and those who embrace it—it is they who are the righteous. ### Taqi Usmani As for the one who has come with the truth and believed it to be true, then such people are the ones who are God-fearing. ### Abdul Haleem It is the one who brings the truth and the one who accepts it as true who are mindful of God: ### Arthur John Arberry And he who has come with the very truth and confirms it, those they are the godfearing. ### E.
