Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) — سورة الزمر - **Verse:** 26 / 75 · **Juz:** 23 · **Mushaf page:** 460 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-az-zumar/verse-26 ## Arabic فَاَذَاقَهُمُ اللّٰهُ الْخِزْيَ فِي الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَاۚ وَلَعَذَابُ الْاٰخِرَةِ اَكْبَرُۢ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ ## Transcription Faathaqahumu Allahu alkhizyafee alhayati addunya walaAAathabual-akhirati akbaru law kanoo yaAAlamoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley So Allah made them taste disgrace in the life of this world and the punishment of the Next World is far worse if they only knew. ### Progressive Muslims So God made them taste the humiliation in this worldly life, but the retribution in the Hereafter is far greater, if only they knew. ### Shabbir Ahmed Thus Allah made them lose dignity and honor in the world. Yet, much greater will be the suffering in the life to come.
