Surah Az-Zumar (The Groups) — سورة الزمر - **Verse:** 18 / 75 · **Juz:** 23 · **Mushaf page:** 459 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-az-zumar/verse-18 ## Arabic اَلَّذ۪ينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ اَحْسَنَهُۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ الَّذ۪ينَ هَدٰيهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمْ اُو۬لُوا الْاَلْبَابِ ## Transcription Allatheena yastamiAAoona alqawlafayattabiAAoona ahsanahu ola-ika allatheenahadahumu Allahu waola-ika hum oloo al-albab ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Those who listen well to what is said and follow the best of it, they are the ones whom Allah has guided, they are the people of intelligence. ### Progressive Muslims The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom God has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence. ### Shabbir Ahmed Who listen to what is said and follow what is best. And they truly listen to the Word and see what is best applicable in a given situation. Such are those whom Allah guideth, and such are men of understanding. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary to those who pay heed to what is said and follow the best of it.[1] They are the ones whom Allah has guided to the Right Way; they are the ones endowed with understanding. _Footnotes_ - [1] This verse can have two meanings: ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab My worshippers who listen to the discourse and choose with deliberation the best course to follow as of forgiveness in lieu of retaliation. Başka sözlerden korkmak kendi sözüne güvenmemek ve taraftarlarını kaybetme endişesi taşımak demektir.
