They will be crushed there by despair. ### Progressive Muslims It will not be removed from them; they will be confined therein. ### Shabbir Ahmed It will not be relaxed for them, and therein they will be in despair. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation It will not be abated for them, and they are therein in despair; ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation It will not be removed from them; they will be confined therein. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament Never will the retribution be commuted for them; they will be confined therein. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira It will not decrease for them; dumb with despair they will stay in it. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) It will not be allowed to subside for them, and they, therein, are in despair. ### Muhammad Asad it will not be lightened for them; and therein they will be lost in hopeless despair. ### Marmaduke Pickthall It is not relaxed for them, and they despair therein. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Never will their torment be lightened for them.
