Surah At-Tur (The Mount) — سورة الطور - **Verse:** 22 / 49 · **Juz:** 27 · **Mushaf page:** 523 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-tur/verse-22 ## Arabic وَاَمْدَدْنَاهُمْ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ## Transcription Waamdadnahum bifakihatin walahminmimma yashtahoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We will supply them with any kind of fruit and meat that they desire. ### Progressive Muslims We will supply them with fruit and meat such as they desire. ### Shabbir Ahmed And We shall bestow on them the fruits and the delicacies of their choice. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And We will supply them with fruit and flesh such as they desire. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation We will supply them with fruit and meat such as they desire. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament We will supply them with fruits and meats that they love. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira We shall give them fruits and meats, and what they desire. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire. ### Muhammad Asad And We shall bestow on them fruit and meat in abundance - whatever they may desire: ### Marmaduke Pickthall And We provide them with fruit and meat such as they desire. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary We shall provide them in abundance with all kinds of fruit and meat,[1] whatever they may desire. _Footnotes_ - [1] In this verse, there is the mention of providing the dwellers of Paradise with every kind of meat generally, and in Surah Al-Waqiah it has been said: They will be served with the flesh of fowls. We do not know what exactly will be the nature of this flesh. But just as in some expressions of the Quran and in some Ahadith it has been said about the milk of Paradise that it will not have been drawn from the udders of animals, and about the honey of Paradise it has been said that it will not have been produced by the bees, and about the wine of Paradise it has been said that it will not have been distilled froth rotten fruit, but these things will flow out of the springs into the canals by the power of Allah, so it can be argued by analogy that this flesh too will not be obtained from slaughtered animals but this too will be a natural product. The God Who can produce milk and honey and wine directly from earthly substances can also produce tasty flesh of every kind from the same substances, which should even surpass the flesh of animals in taste and delight. (For further explanation, see( E.N. 25 of Surah As- Saaffat), (E.Ns 21 to 23 of Surah Muhammad). ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab We will provide them with delicious fruits and the meat of their choice and they will be fitted with whatever they desire. ### Bijan Moeinian I (God) will provide them [free of charge] with any fruit or meat that they may desire. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And We shall provide them with fruit and meat such as they desire. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali And We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran And We will ˹continually˺ provide them with whatever fruit or meat they desire. ### Taqi Usmani And We will go on giving them whatever they desire of fruits and meat. ### Abdul Haleem We provide them with any fruit or meat they desire. ### Arthur John Arberry And We shall succour them with fruits and flesh such as they desire ### E.
