Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance) — سورة التوبة - **Verse:** 72 / 129 · **Juz:** 10 · **Mushaf page:** 197 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-72 ## Arabic وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهَارُ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَا وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً ف۪ي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍۜ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِنَ اللّٰهِ اَكْبَرُۜ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظ۪يمُ۟ ## Transcription WaAAada Allahu almu/mineena walmu/minatijannatin tajree min tahtiha al-anharukhalideena feeha wamasakina tayyibatanfee jannati AAadnin waridwanun mina Allahiakbaru thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheem ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Allah has promised the men and women of the muminun Gardens with rivers flowing under them, remaining in them timelessly, for ever, and fine dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. And Allah’s good pleasure is even greater. That is the great victory. ### Progressive Muslims God has promised the believing men and women gardens with rivers flowing beneath it, in which they will abide, and pleasing homes in the gardens of Eden. And the acceptance from God is the most important; such is the greatest success. ### Shabbir Ahmed Allah promises to the believers, both men and women, Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will live forever, and magnificent dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. And Allah's Approval is the greatest of all Blessings. That will be happiness supreme. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Allah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allah is greater. It is that which is the great attainment. ### Muhammad Asad God has promised the believers, both men and women, gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide, and goodly dwellings in gardens of perpetual bliss: but God's goodly acceptance is the greatest [bliss of all] -for this, this is the triumph supreme! ### Marmaduke Pickthall Allah promiseth to the believers, men and women, Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide - blessed dwellings in Gardens of Eden. And - greater (far)! - acceptance from Allah. That is the supreme triumph. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary [9:72] Allah has promised the believing men and believing women Gardens beneath which rivers flow. They shall abide in it. There are delightful dwelling places for them in the Gardens of Eternity. They shall, above all, enjoy the good pleasure of Allah. That is the great achievement. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Allah has promised the men and the women whose hearts reflect the image of religious and spiritual virtues, blissful gardens in the realm of heaven; gardens of surpassing beauty beneath which flow rivers flow wherein they will have passed through nature to Eternity. Allah has promised them also beautiful mansions in the Gardens of Eden, and above all they come in Allah's grace and win His satisfaction and esteem. This is indeed triumph supreme. ### Bijan Moeinian God hereby promises the believing men and women the gardens beneath which the canals of water flow. They will live forever in the most magnificent mansions located in these gardens of Eden. Above all, God will be pleased with them and there is no achievement greater than this. ### Al-Hilali & Khan Allâh has promised the believers - men and women, - Gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein forever, and beautiful mansions in Gardens of ‘Adn (Eden Paradise). But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allâh. That is the supreme success. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Allah hath promised to Believers, men and women, gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein, and beautiful mansions in gardens of everlasting bliss. And Allah’s pleasure is above all. That is the supreme success. ### Abdul Haleem God has promised the believers, both men and women, Gardens graced with flowing streams where they will remain; good, peaceful homes in Gardens of lasting bliss; and- greatest of all- God’s good pleasure. And Allâh's good pleasure is the greatest (blessing) of all. Yet Allah’s pleasure is greater [than all these]; that is the great success. ### Diyanet İşleri — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Meali Allah, mü'min erkeklere ve mü'min kadınlara, ebedi olarak kalacakları, içinden ırmaklar akan cennetler ve Adn cennetlerinde çok güzel köşkler va'detti. Allah'ın rızası hepsinden büyüktür. İşte büyük kurtuluş budur. ### Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Allah, mü'minlerin erkeğine, dişisine altından ırmaklar akar Cennetler va'd buyurdu, içlerinde muhalled kalacaklar hem Adin Cennetlerinde hoş hoş meskenler, Allahın bir rıdvanı ise hepsinden büyük, işte asıl fevzi azim de budur ### Elmalılı (sadeleştirilmiş) Allah, inanan erkeklere ve dişilere, sonsuza dek kalmak üzere altından ırmaklar akan cennetler ve Adn Cennetlerinde güzel güzel meskenler va'detti. Allah'ın bir hoşnutluğu ise hepsinden büyüktür. İşte asıl büyük mutluluk da budur. ### Gültekin Onan Tanrı, inançlı(erkek)lere ve inançlı(kadın)lara içinde ebedi kalmak üzere, altından ırmaklar akan cennetler ve Adn cennetlerinde güzel meskenler vaadetmiştir. Tanrı'dan olan hoşnutluk ise en büyüktür. İşte büyük kurtuluş ve mutluluk budur. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Allah, mü'min erkeklere de, mü'min kadınlara da — kendileri içinde ebedi kalıcı olmak üzere — altından ırmaklar akan Adn cennetlerini ve çok güzel meskenler va'detdi. Allahın bir rıdvaanı (rızaası) ise daha büyükdür. İşte bu, asıl bu, en büyük seadetdir. ### İbni Kesir Allah mü'min erkeklere ve mü'min kadınlara, içinde temelli kalacakları ve altından ırmaklar akan cennetleri vaadetti. Ve Adn cennetlerinde çok güzel meskenler de. Allah tarafından bir hoşnudluk ise daha büyüktür. En büyük kurtuluş işte budur. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı İnanan erkeklere ve kadınlara, içinde yerleşip kalacakları, içlerinde derelerin, ırmakların çağıldadığı hasbahçeler vaat etmiştir O; ve o esenlik dolu ebedi bahçelerde güzel ve ferah evler: Ve hepsinden daha üstünü de: Allahın hoşnutluğu, hoşça kabulü, işte budur, en büyük/en yüce bahtiyarlık! ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Allah mümin erkeklere ve mümin kadınlara, temelli kalacakları, içlerinden ırmaklar akan cennetler, Adn cennetlerinde hoş meskenler vaat etmiştir. Allah'ın hoşnutluğu ise en büyük şeydir. İşte büyük kurtuluş budur. ### Süleyman Ateş — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Allah inanan erkeklere ve inanan kadınlara, altlarından ırmaklar akan, içinde ebedi kalacakları cennetler ve Adn cennetlerinde güzel meskenler va'detmiştir. Allah'ın (onlardan) razı olması ise hepsinden büyüktür. İşte büyük başarı budur. ### Yaşar Nuri Öztürk — Kur'an-ı Kerim Meali Allah, mümin erkeklerle mümin kadınlara, altından ırmaklar akan cennetler vaat etmiştir. Sürekli kalacaklardır orada. Adn cennetlerinde de tertemiz barınaklar vaat etmiştir. Allah'ın bir hoşnutluğu ise hepsinden büyüktür.
