Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance) — سورة التوبة - **Verse:** 59 / 129 · **Juz:** 10 · **Mushaf page:** 195 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-59 ## Arabic وَلَوْ اَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا مَٓا اٰتٰيهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللّٰهُ سَيُؤْت۪ينَا اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه۪ وَرَسُولُهُٓۙ اِنَّٓا اِلَى اللّٰهِ رَاغِبُونَ۟ ## Transcription Walaw annahum radoo ma atahumuAllahu warasooluhu waqaloo hasbunaAllahu sayu/teena Allahu min fadlihiwarasooluhu inna ila Allahi raghiboon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley If only they had been pleased with what Allah and His Messenger had given them and had said, ‘Allah is enough for us. Allah will give us of His bounty as will His Messenger. It is to Allah that we make our plea.’ ### Progressive Muslims And if they had only been content with what God and His messenger had given them, and they had said: "God is sufficient, He will give us from His bounty, and His messenger. It is to our Lord that we desire." ### Shabbir Ahmed It would have been enormously good for them if they were content with what Allah and His Messenger had given them (59:7). And if they said, "Allah suffices us. (What we have received in equity is good for us). Allah will give us of His Bounty, and the Messenger will distribute in kindness and equity. We turn to Allah with all our hopes." Biz gerçekten ancak Tanrı'ya rağbet edenleriz' deselerdi (ya)!.. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Eğer onlar — Allah ve Resulü kendilerine ne verdiyse — buna raazi olsalardı da "Bize Allah yeter, yakında bize lütf-ü kereminden Allah da verir, Resulü de. Biz ancak Allaha rağbet edicileriz (ümidimiz hep Ona bağlıdır)" deselerdi (ne olurdu)? ### İbni Kesir Şayet onlar, Allah'ın ve peygamberinin kendilerine verdiklerinden hoşnud olsalardı da: Bize Allah yeter, yakında bize bol nimetinden verir, Rasulü' de. Biz, ancak Allah'a rağbet edenleriz, demiş olsalardı. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Oysa, Allahın kendilerine verdiği Onun Elçisinin de verilmesini (sağladığı) şeylerle yetinip hoşnut olsalardı ve "Allah bize yeter! Allah, bolluk ve bereketinde bize (dilediğini) verecektir; Onun Elçisi ise bize verilmesini (sağlayacaktır); doğrusu, biz umutla ve yürekten Allaha yönelmişiz," deselerdi, (bu onlar için elbette daha iyi olurdu.) ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Eğer onlar, Allah ve Peygamberin kendilerine verdiğinden hoşnut olup: 'Allah bize yeter, Allah bize bol nimetinden verecektir. Bu sebeple nebi kelimesi vahyi alan kişinin insan yönüne vurgu ile kullanılır. Resul ise nebinin insanlığa iletmek zorunda olduğu mesajın içeriğine vurgu yapan bir kelimedir. Çünkü resul kelimesi aynı zamanda, muhatabın anladığı dilde kendisine ulaştırılmış mesaj anlamını taşır. Ayette iki defa geçen Allah ve elçisi ifadelerinde resul kelimesi, Allah'ın kitabında yer alan konuyla ilgili hükmü dile getirmek için kullanılmıştır. Bu sebeple ayette Allah ve elçisinin verdiğine razı olanlar "Allah ve elçisi bize yeter" değil, sadece "Allah bize yeter" demektedirler. Dolayısıyla Allah ve elçisi ifadesi, Allah ve onun elçisiyle insanlığa ulaştırdığı hükmü anlamındadır. Şu hadis rivayeti, verdiğimiz bu bilginin doğruluğunu desteklemektedir: Ziyad İbnu'l-Haris es-Sudai anlatıyor: "Nebiye gelip biat ettim. O sırada bir adam geldi, "Bana sadakadan ver!" dedi. Resulullah adama: "Allah, sadakalar konusunda, ne bir nebinin ne de başkasının hükmüne razı olmuş, hükmü bizzat kendisi vererek sadakaları sekiz kısma ayırmıştır. Sen bunlardan birine giriyorsan hakkını sana veririm." dedi (Ebu Davud, Zekat, 163).
