Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance) — سورة التوبة - **Verse:** 58 / 129 · **Juz:** 10 · **Mushaf page:** 195 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-58 ## Arabic وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَلْمِزُكَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِۚ فَاِنْ اُعْطُوا مِنْهَا رَضُوا وَاِنْ لَمْ يُعْطَوْا مِنْهَٓا اِذَا هُمْ يَسْخَطُونَ ## Transcription Waminhum man yalmizuka fee assadaqatifa-in oAAtoo minha radoo wa-in lam yuAAtawminha itha hum yaskhatoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Among them there are some who find fault with you concerning the zakat. If they are given some of it, they are pleased but if they are not given any, they are angry. ### Progressive Muslims And from them are those who criticize you regarding the charities. If they are given from it, they are content; and if they are not given from it, they become enraged! ### Shabbir Ahmed Some of them try to find fault with you (O Prophet) in the distribution of charity. They disregard Allah's fundamental motive and reason of action and tend to go by their selfish motive principle. If they go share and share alike, they approve their hearts to Allah, and if they do not have a good share in what is distributed, they express their disapprobation and moral condemnation. ### Bijan Moeinian Some of them do not like the way that you distribute the charity funds. If you give them some, they become glad. But if you exclude them, they will become angry. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And of them are some who accuse you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) in the matter of (the distribution of) the alms. If they are given part thereof, they are pleased, but if they are not given thereof, behold! Ondan kendilerine verilirse hoşlanırlar, kendilerine verilmediği zaman bu sefer gazablanırlar. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim İçlerinden sadakalar (ın taksimi) hususunda seni ayıblayacaklar da var. Çünkü eğer içlerinden kendilerine (diledikleri bir şey) verilirse hoşlanırlar.
