Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance) — سورة التوبة - **Verse:** 44 / 129 · **Juz:** 10 · **Mushaf page:** 193 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-44 ## Arabic لَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذ۪ينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ اَنْ يُجَاهِدُوا بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاَنْفُسِهِمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَل۪يمٌ بِالْمُتَّق۪ينَ ## Transcription La yasta/thinuka allatheenayu/minoona billahi walyawmi al-akhirian yujahidoo bi-amwalihim waanfusihim wallahuAAaleemun bilmuttaqeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Those who have iman in Allah and the Last Day do not ask you to excuse them from doing jihad with their wealth and themselves. Allah knows the people who have taqwa. ### Progressive Muslims Those who believe in God and the Last Day will not ask leave. They strive with their money and their lives. And God is aware of the righteous. ### Shabbir Ahmed Those who have conviction in Allah and the Last Day, do not ask you for exemption from striving with their wealth and persons.
