Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance) — سورة التوبة - **Verse:** 2 / 129 · **Juz:** 10 · **Mushaf page:** 186 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-2 ## Arabic فَس۪يحُوا فِي الْاَرْضِ اَرْبَعَةَ اَشْهُرٍ وَاعْلَمُٓوا اَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللّٰهِۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ مُخْزِي الْكَافِر۪ينَ ## Transcription Faseehoo fee al-ardi arbaAAataashhurin waAAlamoo annakum ghayru muAAjizee Allahiwaanna Allaha mukhzee alkafireen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley ‘You may travel about in the land for four months and know that you cannot thwart Allah and that Allah will humiliate the kafirun. ’ ### Progressive Muslims Therefore, roam the land for four months and know that you will not escape God, and that God will humiliate the rejecters. ### Shabbir Ahmed (O Idolaters who have repeatedly violated the peace treaties), Travel freely in the land four months, and know that you cannot escape Allah, and that Allah will bring disgrace to the rejecters of the Truth.
