Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance) — سورة التوبة - **Verse:** 116 / 129 · **Juz:** 11 · **Mushaf page:** 204 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-116 ## Arabic اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ يُحْـي۪ وَيُم۪يتُۜ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَص۪يرٍ ## Transcription Inna Allaha lahu mulku assamawatiwal-ardi yuhyee wayumeetu wama lakummin dooni Allahi min waliyyin wala naseer ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Allah is He to whom the kingdom of the heavens and earth belongs. He gives life and causes to die. You have no protector or helper besides Allah. ### Progressive Muslims To God is the sovereignty of heavens and Earth, He brings life and death. You have none beside Him as a supporter or victor. ### Shabbir Ahmed To Allah belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the earth. He has full control over the Laws of life and death, for individuals and nations. You have no protector and helper outside Allah's Laws. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation God, to Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and gives death; and you have not, besides God, either ally or helper. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation To God is the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, He brings life and death. He it is Who confers life and causes death.
