Surah At-Talaq (Divorce) — سورة الطلاق - **Verse:** 7 / 12 · **Juz:** 28 · **Mushaf page:** 558 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-talaq/verse-7 ## Arabic لِيُنْفِقْ ذُوسَعَةٍ مِنْ سَعَتِه۪ۜ وَمَنْ قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ فَلْيُنْفِقْ مِمَّٓا اٰتٰيهُ اللّٰهُۜ لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللّٰهُ نَفْساً اِلَّا مَٓا اٰتٰيهَاۜ سَيَجْعَلُ اللّٰهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٍ يُسْراً۟ ## Transcription Liyunfiq thoo saAAatin min saAAatihiwaman qudira AAalayhi rizquhu falyunfiq mimma atahuAllahu la yukallifu Allahu nafsan illama ataha sayajAAalu AllahubaAAda AAusrin yusra ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley He who has plenty should spend out from his plenty, but he whose provision is restricted should spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not demand from any self more than He has given it. Allah will appoint after difficulty, ease. ### Progressive Muslims The rich shall provide support in accordance with his means, and the poor shall provide according to the means that God bestowed upon him. God does not burden any soul more than He has given it. God will provide ease after difficulty. ### Shabbir Ahmed Let the affluent man give according to his affluence, and the poor man give according to what Allah has given him. Allah does not burden any human being with more than what He has given him. Allah will vouchsafe, after hardship, ease. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Whoever has abundant means, let him spend according to his means; and he whose means are straitened, let him spend out of what Allah has given him. Allah does not burden any human being beyond the means that He has bestowed upon him. Possibly Allah will grant ease after hardship. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Everyone of pecuniary resources must spend according to his means, and he who is of wanting means to produce the comforts of life shall spend in accordance with what Allah has given him. Allah imposes upon no soul or on anyone the tribute of spending but within the limitations of what He has given him; and behind an instance of hardship, Allah will bring relief. ### Bijan Moeinian If the mother decides to give milk to the baby give her a salary in a mutually fair manner. If you can not reach to an agreement, then hire another woman to suckle the child. Let the rich man spend according to his means and the less fortunate spend as much as he is capable. God is not asking anyone more than what He has given them. May God provide ease after hardship. Now Muslims are being warned of the consequence of their disobedience in this world and Hereafter as well as the reward of their obedience. ### Al-Hilali & Khan Let the rich man spend according to his means; and the man whose resources are restricted, let him spend according to what Allâh has given him. Rızkı kendisine daraltılmış bulunan (fakir) de nafakayı Allahın ona verdiğinden versin. Allah hiçbir nefse, ona verdiğinden başkasını yüklemez. Allah; güçlüğün ardından bir kolaylık ihsan eder. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı (Bütün bu durumlarda,) geniş imkanlara sahip olan kişi, genişliği ile uyumlu olarak harcasın; rızık imkanları dar olan kimse ise Allah'ın kendisine verdiğine uygun şekilde harcasın!
