_In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful._

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

## Verse 1

اَلْهٰيكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ

Alhakumu attakathur

The competition for increase diverts you

## Verse 2

حَتّٰى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَۜ

Hatta zurtumu almaqabir

Until you visit the graves.

## Verse 3

كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَۙ

Kalla sawfa taAAlamoon

No, indeed! You will come to know.

## Verse 4

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَۜ

Thumma kalla sawfa taAAlamoon

Then no, indeed! You will come to know.

## Verse 5

كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَق۪ينِۜ

Kalla law taAAlamoona AAilma alyaqeen

No, indeed! If you had known with the knowledge of certainty[...].

## Verse 6

لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَح۪يمَۙ

Latarawunna aljaheem

You will see Hell.

## Verse 7

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَق۪ينِۙ

Thumma latarawunnaha AAayna alyaqeen

Then will you see it with the eye of certainty.

## Verse 8

ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّع۪يمِ

Thumma latus-alunna yawma-ithin AAaniannaAAeem

Then, that day, will you be questioned about bliss.
