Surah At-Taghabun (Mutual Disillusion) — سورة التغابن - **Verse:** 10 / 18 · **Juz:** 28 · **Mushaf page:** 556 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-at-taghabun/verse-10 ## Arabic وَالَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِاٰيَاتِنَٓا اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ اَصْحَابُ النَّارِ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَاۜ وَبِئْسَ الْمَص۪يرُ۟ ## Transcription Wallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboobi-ayatina ola-ika as-habuannari khalideena feeha wabi/sa almaseer ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley But as for those who are kafir and deny Our Signs they are the Companions of the Fire, remaining in it timelessly, for ever. What an evil destination! ### Progressive Muslims As for those who reject and deny Our revelations, they are the dwellers of the Fire; they will abide therein. What a miserable destiny! ### Shabbir Ahmed But those who frankly reject, or practically deny Our Messages, such are companions of the Fire. What a miserable destiny! ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira Those who did not believe and denied Our revelations will be inmates of Hell, where they will abide for ever, and how evil a journey's end! ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) But the ones who disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of the Fire, abiding eternally therein; and wretched is the destination. ### Muhammad Asad But as for those who are bent on denying the truth and on giving the lie to Our messages - they are destined for the fire, therein to abide: and how vile a journey’s end! ### Marmaduke Pickthall But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are owners of the Fire; they will abide therein - a hapless journey's end! ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary As for those who disbelieved and gave the lie to Our Signs:[1] they shall be the inmates of the Fire, and will abide in it. That is a woeful resort! _Footnotes_ - [1] These words by themselves make manifest the meaning of unbelief (kufr). Unbelief is nothing but denying the verses of Allah’s Book to be divine revelation, rejecting the truth expressed therein and refusing to follow and obey the commandments given in them; its results are those being mentioned below. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab But those who refuse to recognize Allah and inherently deny the truth, and persist in labeling Our revelations and signs as falsehood, are the inmates of the Fire, wherein they will have passed through nature to eternal suffering, and how evil is the destination! ### Bijan Moeinian On the contrary, those who disbelieved and did not listen to Me (God), they will be the inhabitants of the Fire and have to live in Hell forever; indeed Hell is the worse place to be in. ### Al-Hilali & Khan But those who disbelieved (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and denied Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they will be the dwellers of the Fire, to dwell therein forever.
