Surah Ash-Shuraa (Consultation) — سورة الشورى - **Verse:** 26 / 53 · **Juz:** 25 · **Mushaf page:** 485 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-ash-shuraa/verse-26 ## Arabic وَيَسْتَج۪يبُ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَيَز۪يدُهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِه۪ۜ وَالْكَافِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَد۪يدٌ ## Transcription Wayastajeebu allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo assalihati wayazeeduhum min fadlihiwalkafiroona lahum AAathabun shadeed ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley He responds to those who have iman and do right actions and gives them increase from His favour. But the kafirun will have a harsh punishment. ### Progressive Muslims And those that believe and do good works respond to Him, and He increases for them His blessings. As for the rejecters, they have incurred a severe retribution. ### Shabbir Ahmed And accepts all those who attain belief and help others, and He gives them a far exceeding reward from His bounty. But for those who adamantly deny the Truth and choose to stay in darkness, is a severe retribution. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And He responds to those who heed warning and do righteous deeds, and increases them of His bounty. And the false claimers of guidance, they have a severe punishment. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And those that believe and do good works respond to Him, and He increases for them His blessings. As for the rejecters, they have incurred a severe retribution. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament Responding to Him are those who believe and lead a righteous life. He will shower them with His blessings. As for the disbelievers, they have incurred a severe retribution. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira He answers (the prayers) of those who believe and do good, and gives them more of His bounty. But for the unbelievers there is severe punishment. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And He answers [the supplication of] those who have believed and done righteous deeds and increases [for] them from His bounty. But the disbelievers will have a severe punishment. ### Muhammad Asad and responds unto all who attain to faith and do righteous deeds; and [it is He who, in the life to come,] will give them, out of His bounty, far more [than they will have deserved], whereas for the deniers of the truth there is [but] suffering severe in store. ### Marmaduke Pickthall And accepteth those who do good works, and giveth increase unto them of His bounty. And as for disbelievers, theirs will be an awful doom. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary and answers the prayers of those who believe and do good deeds and bestows upon them even more out of His Bounty. As for those who deny (the Truth), a grievous chastisement awaits them. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab He grants the prayer and fulfills the wish of those whose hearts reflect, the image of religious and spiritual virtues and their deeds wisdom and piety Moreover a provision of His bounty is made for the augmentation of what accords to their request with circumspection. But those who deny Him shall be put to the torment. ### Bijan Moeinian God accepts the prayers of the believers who do good deeds and showers them with His blessings. As for the disbelievers, an awful destiny is in reserve for them. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And He answers (the invocation of) those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and gives them increase of His Bounty. And as for the disbelievers, theirs will be a severe torment. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali And He listens to those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, and gives them increase of His Bounty: but for the Unbelievers their is a terrible Penalty. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran He responds to those who believe and do good, and increases their reward out of His grace. As for the disbelievers, they will suffer a severe punishment. ### Taqi Usmani And He responds to (the prayer of) those who believe and do righteous deeds, and gives them more out of His grace. As for the disbelievers, for them there is a severe punishment. ### Abdul Haleem He responds to those who believe and do good deeds, and gives them more of His bounty; agonizing torment awaits the disbelievers. ### Arthur John Arberry And He answers those who believe and do righteous deeds, and He gives them increase of His bounty. And the unbelievers -- for them awaits a terrible chastisement. ### E. Henry Palmer And He answers the prayer of those who believe and do right, and gives them increase of His grace; but the misbelievers,- for them is keen torment. ### Hamid S. Aziz And He answers those who believe and do good deeds, and gives increase unto them of His bounty; and as for the unbelievers, they shall have a severe punishment. ### Mahmoud Ghali And He responds (to) the ones who have believed and done deeds of righteousness, and He gives them increase of His Grace. And the disbelievers will have a strict torment. ### George Sale He will incline his ear unto those who believe and work righteousness, and will add unto them above what they shall ask or deserve, of his bounty: But the unbelievers shall suffer a severe punishment. ### Syed Vickar Ahamed And He hears those who believe and act righteously, and gives them increase of His Bounty: And as for the unbelievers there is a terrible penalty. ### Amatul Rahman Omar And He responds to the prayers of those who believe and (accordingly) do deeds of righteousness and gives them (even) more (than they pray for) through His grace and bounty. As for the disbelievers there awaits them a severe punishment ### Ali Quli Qarai And He answers those who have faith and do righteous deeds and enhances them out of His grace. Kafirlere gelince; onlara şiddetli bir azap vardır. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim İman edib de iyi iyi amel (ve hareket) lerde bulunanlar (ın duasın) a icabet eder. Onlara fazl (-u kerem) inden (daha nicesini) artırır da. Kafirlere gelince: Onlar için de çok çetin bir azab vardır. ### İbni Kesir İman edip salih ameller işleyenlerin duasını kabul buyurur ve onlara lutfundan arttırır. Kafirlere gelince; onlar için şiddetli bir azab vardır. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı inanıp doğru ve yararlı işler yapanların dileklerini kabul eden; ve (O'dur öteki dünyada) lütfuyla onlara (hak ettiklerinden) fazlasını verecek olan. Hakikati inkar edenleri (yalnızca) çetin bir azap beklemektedir. ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı İman eden ve doğruları yapanlara icabet eder ve onlara lütfunu artırır. Kafirlere gelince, onlara şiddetli bir azap vardır. ### Süleyman Ateş — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali İnanan ve iyi işler yapanların dileklerini kabul eder; lutuf ve kereminden onlara, daha fazlasını da verir. Kafirlere gelince, onlara da çetin bir azab vardır. ### Yaşar Nuri Öztürk — Kur'an-ı Kerim Meali İman edip hayra ve barışa yönelik işler yapanların dualarını O cevaplıyor, lütfundan onlara fazlasını O veriyor.
