Surah As-Sajdah (The Prostration) — سورة السجدة - **Verse:** 28 / 30 · **Juz:** 21 · **Mushaf page:** 416 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-as-sajdah/verse-28 ## Arabic وَيَقُولُونَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الْفَتْحُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِق۪ينَ ## Transcription Wayaqooloona mata hatha alfathuin kuntum sadiqeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley They say, ‘When will this victory come if you are telling the truth?’ ### Progressive Muslims And they Say: "When is this victory, if you are being truthful" ### Shabbir Ahmed But they keep saying, "When will that decision be, if you are truthful?" (When will this Message bear fruit?) ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And they say: “When is this decision, if you be truthful?” ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And they say: "When is this victory, if you are being truthful?" ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament They challenge: "Where is that victory, if you are truthful?" ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira Yet they say: "When will this decree come, if you speak the truth?" ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And they say, "When will be this conquest, if you should be truthful?" ### Muhammad Asad But they answer: "When will that final decision take place, if what you [believers] say is true?" ### Marmaduke Pickthall And they say: When cometh this victory (of yours) if ye are truthful? ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary They say: "If you are truthful, (tell us) when will the Judgement come?"[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] That is, "You say that Allah’s succor will at last reach you and your rejectors will be struck down by His wrath.
