Surah As-Sajdah (The Prostration) — سورة السجدة - **Verse:** 20 / 30 · **Juz:** 21 · **Mushaf page:** 415 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-as-sajdah/verse-20 ## Arabic وَاَمَّا الَّذ۪ينَ فَسَقُوا فَمَأْوٰيهُمُ النَّارُۜ كُلَّمَٓا اَرَادُٓوا اَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَٓا اُع۪يدُوا ف۪يهَا وَق۪يلَ لَهُمْ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّذ۪ي كُنْتُمْ بِه۪ تُكَذِّبُونَ ## Transcription Waamma allatheena fasaqoofama/wahumu annaru kullama aradooan yakhrujoo minha oAAeedoo feeha waqeela lahum thooqooAAathaba annari allathee kuntum bihitukaththiboon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley But as for those who are deviators, their refuge is the Fire. Every time that they want to get out, they are put straight back into it again and they are told, ‘Taste the punishment of the Fire, which you denied.’ ### Progressive Muslims And as for those who were wicked, their abode is the Fire. Every time they try to leave it, they will be put back in it, and it will be said to them: "Taste the retribution of the Fire in which you used to deny." ### Shabbir Ahmed But as for those who drifted away from the Truth, their Retreat will be the Fire. As often as they try to come out of it, they will be brought back into it. Every time they want to escape from it they shall be driven back and shall be told: "Taste the chastisement of the Fire which you used to reject as a lie." ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Those in whose hearts reigns vice shall be homed in Hell. As often as they try to escape it they are reinstated therein and shall be told: "Now you taste the torment experienced in Hell which you had always denied". ### Bijan Moeinian The wrongdoers, on the contrary, will end up in the Hell. Anytime they try to flee, they will be pushed back into the Fire and they will be told: "Taste the torture of the same Fire which you used to deny its existence." ### Al-Hilali & Khan And as for those who are Fâsiqûn (disbelievers and disobedient to Allâh), their abode will be the Fire, every time they wish to get away therefrom, they will be put back thereto, and it will be said to them: "Taste you the torment of the Fire which you used to deny." ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali As to those who are rebellious and wicked, their abode will be the Fire: every time they wish to get away therefrom, they will be forced thereinto, and it will be said to them: "Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire, the which ye were wont to reject as false." ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran But as for those who are rebellious, the Fire will be their home. Oradan her çıkmak istediklerinde, geri çevrilirler ve onlara: "Kendisini yalanladığınız ateş azabını tadın" denir. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Fasık olanların barınacağı yer ise ateşdir. Ne zaman oradan çıkmak isterlerse içerisine döndürülürler ve onlara: "Tekzib edegeldiğiniz o ateşin azabını tadın" denilir. ### İbni Kesir Yoldan çıkanlara gelince; onların sığınağı da ateştir. Oradan çıkmak istedikleri her seferinde geri çevrilirler. Ve onlara: Yalanlayıp durduğunuz ateşin azabını tadın, denir. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Sapmışların varacakları yer ise ateştir.
