Surah As-Sajdah (The Prostration) — سورة السجدة - **Verse:** 12 / 30 · **Juz:** 21 · **Mushaf page:** 415 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-as-sajdah/verse-12 ## Arabic وَلَوْ تَرٰٓى اِذِ الْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا رُؤُ۫سِهِمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۜ رَبَّـنَٓا اَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَارْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَـالِحاً اِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ ## Transcription Walaw tara ithi almujrimoona nakisooruoosihim AAinda rabbihim rabbana absarnawasamiAAna faarjiAAna naAAmal salihaninna mooqinoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley If only you could see the evildoers hanging their heads in shame before their Lord: ‘Our Lord, we have seen and we have heard, so send us back again and we will act rightly. Truly we now have certainty.’ ### Progressive Muslims And if only you could see the criminals when they bow down their heads before their Lord: "Our Lord, we have now seen and we have heard, so send us back and we will do good work. Now we have attained certainty!" ### Shabbir Ahmed If only you could see the guilty when they bend low their heads before their Lord, "Our Lord! We have now seen and heard.
