قَالُٓوا اِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَم۪ينِ

## Transcription

Qaloo innakum kuntum ta/toonanaAAani alyameen

## Translations

### Aisha Bewley

One group will say, ‘You used to come at us from a position of power. ’

They said: "You used to entice us from the right side. "

Some will say, "You used to approach us in power. "

- [1] The word yameen in Arabic is used for several meanings. It may mean use of the force, or well-wishing, or swearing of an oath. Accordingly, the verse would mean.
