Surah Ar-Rum (The Romans) — سورة الروم - **Verse:** 46 / 60 · **Juz:** 21 · **Mushaf page:** 408 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-ar-rum/verse-46 ## Arabic وَمِنْ اٰيَاتِه۪ٓ اَنْ يُرْسِلَ الرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَاتٍ وَلِيُذ۪يقَكُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِه۪ وَلِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ بِاَمْرِه۪ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه۪ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ## Transcription Wamin ayatihi an yursila arriyahamubashshiratin waliyutheeqakum min rahmatihiwalitajriya alfulku bi-amrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihiwalaAAallakum tashkuroon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Among His Signs is that He sends the winds bearing good news, to give you a taste of His mercy, and to make the ships run by His command, and to enable you to seek His bounty so that hopefully you will be thankful. ### Progressive Muslims And from His signs is that He sends the winds with glad tidings, and to give you a taste of His mercy, and so that the ships may sail by His command, and that you may seek of His bounty; perhaps you will be thankful. ### Shabbir Ahmed And of His Signs is this: He sends forth the winds that bear glad tiding, so that He might give you a taste of His Grace. In ancient times, sailing boats and ships mostly depended on favorable winds and adverse winds were disastrous for them.
