_In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful._

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

## Verse 1

اَلرَّحْمٰنُۙ

Arrahman

The Almighty:

## Verse 2

عَلَّمَ الْقُرْاٰنَۜ

AAallama alqur-an

Taught the Qur’an,

## Verse 3

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَۙ

Khalaqa al-insan

Created man,

## Verse 4

عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ

AAallamahu albayan

Taught him the clear statement.

## Verse 5

اَلشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۖ

Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusban

The sun and the moon are in calculation,

## Verse 6

وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ

Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan

And the star and the tree submit.

## Verse 7

وَالسَّمَٓاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْم۪يزَانَۙ

Wassamaa rafaAAahawawadaAAa almeezan

And the heaven — He raised it (and He set up the balance,

## Verse 8

اَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْم۪يزَانِ

Alla tatghaw fee almeezan

That you transgress not in the balance;

وَاَق۪يمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْم۪يزَانَ

Waaqeemoo alwazna bilqisti walatukhsiroo almeezan

And uphold the weight with equity, and cause not loss to the balance.)

## Verse 10

وَالْاَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْاَنَامِۙ

Wal-arda wadaAAahalil-anam

And the earth — He set it out for living creatures,

## Verse 11

ف۪يهَا فَاكِهَةٌۖ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْاَكْمَامِ

Feeha fakihatun wannakhluthatu al-akmam

Therein is fruit, and date-palms with sheaths,

## Verse 12

وَالْحَبُّ ذُوالْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُۚ

Walhabbu thoo alAAasfiwarrayhan

And the grain with husks, and fragrant herbs.

## Verse 13

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 14

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِۙ

Khalaqa al-insana min salsalinkalfakhkhar

He created man of sounding clay like pottery,

## Verse 15

وَخَلَقَ الْجَٓانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍۚ

Wakhalaqa aljanna min marijinmin nar

And He created the demon dominus from a mixture of fire.

## Verse 16

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 17

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِۚ

Rabbu almashriqayni warabbu almaghribayn

The Lord of the Two Easts, and the Lord of the Two Wests:

## Verse 18

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 19

مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِۙ

Maraja albahrayni yaltaqiyan

Loosed the two seas, meeting together,

## Verse 20

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِۚ

Baynahuma barzakhun la yabghiyan

Between them a barrier they transgress not;

## Verse 21

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 22

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ۬ وَالْمَرْجَانُۚ

Yakhruju minhuma allu/luo walmarjan

From them come forth the pearl and the seed pearl.

## Verse 23

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththibani

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 24

وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَاٰتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْاَعْلَامِۚ

Walahu aljawari almunshaatufee albahri kal-aAAlam

And His are the ships raised in the sea like banners.

## Verse 25

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ۟

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 26

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍۚ

Kullu man AAalayha fan

Everyone on it is to perish,

## Verse 27

وَيَبْقٰى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُوالْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِۚ

Wayabqa wajhu rabbika thooaljalali wal-ikram

But the face of thy Lord will remain, Owner of Majesty and Honour.

## Verse 28

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 29

يَسْـَٔلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ ف۪ي شَأْنٍۚ

Yas-aluhu man fee assamawatiwal-ardi kulla yawmin huwa fee sha/n

There asks of Him whoso is in the heavens and the earth; every day is He involved:

## Verse 30

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 31

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ اَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِۚ

Sanafrughu lakum ayyuha aththaqalan

We will attend to you, O you two encumbered ones!

## Verse 32

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 33

يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ اِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ اَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ اَقْطَارِ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ فَانْفُذُواۜ  لَا تَنْفُذُونَ اِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍۚ

Ya maAAshara aljinni wal-insiini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari assamawatiwal-ardi fanfuthoo la tanfuthoonailla bisultan

O congregation of domini and servi: if you are able to penetrate the regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate! You will not penetrate save by authority:

## Verse 34

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 35

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِۚ

Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathunmin narin wanuhasun fala tantasiran

Sent against you will be a flame of fire and smoke; and you will not be helped.

## Verse 36

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 37

فَاِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَٓاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِۚ

Fa-itha inshaqqati assamaofakanat wardatan kaddihan

And when the sky is rent asunder, and turns rose-red like oil,

## Verse 38

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 39

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِه۪ٓ اِنْسٌ وَلَا جَٓانٌّۚ

Fayawma-ithin la yus-alu AAan thanbihiinsun wala jan

Then, that day, neither servus nor dominus will be questioned about his transgression.

## Verse 40

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 41

يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِس۪يمٰيهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاص۪ي وَالْاَقْدَامِۚ

YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahumfayu/khathu binnawasee wal-aqdam

The lawbreakers will be known by their mark, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet:

## Verse 42

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 43

هٰذِه۪ جَهَنَّمُ الَّت۪ي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَۢ

Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibubiha almujrimoon

“This is Gehenna!” — which the lawbreakers deny —

## Verse 44

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَم۪يمٍ اٰنٍۚ

Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameeminan

They will go between it and boiling, scalding water.

## Verse 45

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ۟

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 46

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّه۪ جَنَّتَانِۚ

Waliman khafa maqama rabbihijannatan

But for him who fears the standing of his Lord are two gardens

## Verse 47

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۙ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 48

ذَوَاتَٓا اَفْنَانٍۚ

Thawata afnan

With spreading branches

## Verse 49

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 50

ف۪يهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِۚ

Feehima AAaynani tajriyan

Wherein two springs flow;

## Verse 51

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 52

ف۪يهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِۚ

Feehima min kulli fakihatinzawjan

Wherein of every fruit are two kinds;

## Verse 53

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 54

مُتَّكِـ۪ٔينَ عَلٰى فُرُشٍ بَطَٓائِنُهَا مِنْ اِسْتَبْرَقٍۜ وَجَنَا الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍۚ

Muttaki-eena AAala furushin bata-inuhamin istabraqin wajana aljannatayni dan

Reclining upon couches, lined with brocade — and the fruits of both gardens hanging low —

## Verse 55

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

(Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?)

## Verse 56

ف۪يهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِۙ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَٓانٌّۚ

Feehinna qasiratu attarfilam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jan

In them: maidens of modest gaze, whom there deflowered before them neither servus nor dominus:

## Verse 57

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۚ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 58

كَاَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُۚ

Kaannahunna alyaqootu walmarjan

As if rubies and seed pearls!

## Verse 59

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 60

هَلْ جَزَٓاءُ الْاِحْسَانِ اِلَّا الْاِحْسَانُۚ

Hal jazao al-ihsani illaal-ihsan

Will the reward of good be other than good?

## Verse 61

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?

## Verse 62

وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِۚ

Wamin doonihima jannatan

And besides both: two gardens:

## Verse 63

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۙ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 64

مُدْهَٓامَّتَانِۚ

Mudhammatan

Of darkest green,

## Verse 65

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۚ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 66

ف۪يهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِۚ

Feehima AAaynani naddakhatan

Wherein are two springs gushing;

## Verse 67

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۚ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 68

ف۪يهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌۚ

Feehima fakihatun wanakhlunwarumman

Wherein is fruit, and date-palms, and pomegranate;

## Verse 69

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۚ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 70

ف۪يهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌۚ

Feehinna khayratun hisan

In all, comely and good:

## Verse 71

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۚ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 72

حُورٌ مَقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِۚ

Hoorun maqsooratun feealkhiyam

Pure-eyed maidens, sheltered in pavilions;

## Verse 73

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۚ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 74

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَٓانٌّۚ

Lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum walajan

Whom there deflowered before them neither servus nor dominus:

## Verse 75

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِۚ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

— Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny? —

## Verse 76

مُتَّكِـ۪ٔينَ عَلٰى رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍۚ

Muttaki-eena AAala rafrafin khudrinwaAAabqariyyin hisan

Reclining on green cushions and finest carpets!

## Verse 77

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَٓاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny!

## Verse 78

تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ

Tabaraka ismu rabbika theealjalali wal-ikram

Blessed be the name of thy Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honour!
