Surah An-Nisa (The Women) — سورة النساء - **Verse:** 87 / 176 · **Juz:** 5 · **Mushaf page:** 91 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-an-nisa/verse-87 ## Arabic اَللّٰهُ لَٓا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۜ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ ف۪يهِۜ وَمَنْ اَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ حَد۪يثاً۟ ## Transcription Allahu la ilaha illahuwa layajmaAAannakum ila yawmi alqiyamati larayba feehi waman asdaqu mina Allahi hadeetha ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Allah, there is no god but Him. He will gather you to the Day of Rising about which there is no doubt. And whose speech could be truer than Allah’s? ### Progressive Muslims God, there is no god but He. He will gather you for the Day of Resurrection in which there is no doubt. Who is more truthful in saying than God ### Shabbir Ahmed Allah! There is no god but He. He will summon all of you on the Day of Resurrection about the advent of which there is no doubt. Who can tell you a more reliable HADITH (saying) than Allah? ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation God, there is no god save He. He will gather you all to the Day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt; and who is more truthful than God in statement? ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation God, there is no god except He. He will gather you together on the Day of Resurrection which is certain to come; and whose word is truer than God's? ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Allah - there is no deity except Him. He will surely assemble you for [account on] the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. And who is more truthful than Allah in statement. ### Muhammad Asad God - save whom there is no deity - will surely gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection, [the coming of] which is beyond all doubt: and whose word could be truer than God's? ### Marmaduke Pickthall Allah! There is no Allah save Him. He gathereth you all unto a Day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt. Who is more true in statement than Allah? ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary There is no god but Allah. He will certainly gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection - the Day regarding which there can be no doubt. Whose word can be truer than Allah's?[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] Whatever the unbelievers, polytheists and atheists may do does not impair God's godhead. That God is the One and Absolute Lord of all is a fact which none can alter. And a Day will come when He will gather together all human beings and will make them see the consequences of their deeds, and no one will be in a position to escape His retribution. God therefore does not require His good creatures to maltreat, on His behalf, those who are lost in error. This is the link between the present verse and the one preceding it. The same verse also concludes the theme running through the last twenty verses or so (see verses 71 ff). The present verse outlines that a man can follow whichever course he deems fit, and expend his energy in any direction he likes, but ultimately all men will have to stand before the One True God for His judgement and will see the consequences of their deeds. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Allah there is no Ilah but He, shall inevitably gather you all on the Day of Resurrection, the Day which admits no doubt; and who is more truthful in his discourse than Allah! ### Bijan Moeinian The Lord, Who is the only God, will gather you all together in the Day of Judgment. Do not have the least doubt about it; after all, who else better than God can inform you of the truth? ### Al-Hilali & Khan Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Surely, He will gather you together on the Day of Resurrection about which there is no doubt. And who is truer in statement than Allâh? ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Allah! There is no god but He: of a surety He will gather you together against the Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt. And whose word can be truer than Allah's? ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran Allah, there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. He will certainly gather ˹all of˺ you together on the Day of Judgment—about which there is no doubt. And whose word is more truthful than Allah’s? ### Taqi Usmani Allah: There is no god but He. He shall certainly gather you towards the Day of Doom. There is no doubt about it. Who is more truthful in his word than Allah? ### Abdul Haleem He is God: there is no god but Him. He will gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Whose word can be truer than God’s? ### Arthur John Arberry God -- there is no god but He.
