Surah An-Nisa (The Women) — سورة النساء - **Verse:** 131 / 176 · **Juz:** 5 · **Mushaf page:** 98 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-an-nisa/verse-131 ## Arabic وَلِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَاِيَّاكُمْ اَنِ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ وَاِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَاِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَنِياًّ حَم۪يداً ## Transcription Walillahi ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi walaqad wassaynaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum wa-iyyakumani ittaqoo Allaha wa-in takfuroo fa-inna lillahi mafee assamawati wama fee al-ardiwakana Allahu ghaniyyan hameeda ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley What is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Allah. We have instructed those given the Book before you and you yourselves, to have taqwa of Allah, but if you are kafir, what is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Allah. Allah is Rich Beyond Need, Praiseworthy. ### Progressive Muslims And to God is what is in the heavens and the Earth; and We have recommended to those who were given the Scripture before you, and you, to be aware of God. And if you reject, then to God is all that is in heavens and in Earth; God is Rich, Praiseworthy. ### Shabbir Ahmed And to Allah belong all things in the Highs and all things in the Lows. We directed those who received the Scripture before you, and We direct you to be mindful of Allah's Laws (so that your society operates as smoothly as the Universe is operating). And if you reject the Truth, know that all things in the heavens and all things in the earth belong to Allah. But if you disbelieve, then bear in mind that all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth belongs to Allah. Allah is Self-Sufficient, Most Praiseworthy. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And to Allah belong all that is in the heavens and that is on earth, and We have enjoined those who were given the Book before you -Ahl AL-Kitab- as well as you Muslims to entertain the profound reverence dutiful to Allah. And if you should deny Allah and refuse to acknowledge His infinite Authority, then you must realize that to Allah belong all that is in the heavens and all, that is on earth, and Allah has always been Ghaniyun (Independent), (Absolute), and Hamidun (Worthy of all praise); His grace abounds in the universe. ### Bijan Moeinian To God belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth.
