Surah An-Naml (The Ant) — سورة النمل - **Verse:** 8 / 93 · **Juz:** 19 · **Mushaf page:** 376 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-an-naml/verse-8 ## Arabic فَلَمَّا جَٓاءَهَا نُودِيَ اَنْ بُورِكَ مَنْ فِي النَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَاۜ وَسُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَم۪ينَ ## Transcription Falamma jaaha noodiya anboorika man fee annari waman hawlahawasubhana Allahi rabbi alAAalameen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley But when he reached it, a voice called out to him, ‘Blessed be Him who is in the Fire and all who are around it. Glory be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds! ### Progressive Muslims So when he came to it he was called: "Blessed is the One at the fire and whoever is around it, and glory be to God, the Lord of the worlds. " ### Shabbir Ahmed But when he came close to it, he was called, "Blessed are all who are in and near the Light! And Exalted is Allah, Lord of the Worlds. And Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary But when Moses came to the fire, a call was sounded:[1] "Blessed is He Who is in the fire and whatever is around it. Glory be to Allah, the Sustainer of all in the Universe.[2] _Footnotes_ - [1] According to (Al-Qasas: Ayat 30), the voice was calling out from a tree. What one understands from this is this: A sort of a fire was alight on the ground on the edge of the valley, but neither was anything burning nor any smoke arising. In the midst of the fire there stood a lush green tree from which a voice started calling out this all of a sudden. - [2] This is a strange thing which the prophets of Allah have been experiencing. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was first blessed with prophethood, an angel appeared before him in the solitude of the cave of Hira and started delivering Allah’s message. A similar thing happened with the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) also. A journeying person has halted at a place, sees a fire at a distance, approaches it in order to get some information abort the route, or to pick a burning ember, and suddenly Allah, Lord of the Worlds, the Infinite, the Inconceivable Being, starts speaking to him. On such occasions, there exists externally as well as within the Prophets’ own selves an extraordinary state which fills them with the assurance that it is not a jinn or a satan or an illusion of their own mind, nor are their senses being deceived, but it is the Lord of the universe, or His Angel, who is speaking to them. (See(E.N. 10 of Surah An-Najm). ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And when he reached the destined spot, he was called to and was told: "Blessed be those who are in the fire and those around, and extolled are the glorious attributes of Allah, The Creator of the worlds, the visible and the invisible, past, present and those to come. " ### Bijan Moeinian When he reached there, he heard a voice coming from the fire and surroundings: "Glory to the Lord of the universe. " ### Al-Hilali & Khan But when he came to it, he was called: "Blessed is whosoever is in the fire, and whosoever is round about it! Alemlerin rabbi olan Tanrı yücedir. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Vaktaki oraya gitdi, kendisine (şöyle) nida olundu: "Ateş (mahallin) de bulunana da, çevresinde olan kimselere de muhakkak (feyz ve) bereket verildi. Aalemlerin Rabbi olan Allah münezzehdir". ### İbni Kesir Oraya geldiği vakit, kendisine şöyle seslenildi: Ateşin yanında olan ve çevresinde bulunanlar mübarek kılınmıştır. Alemlerin Rabbı olan Allah, münezzehtir. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Fakat oraya varınca, o'na şöyle seslenildi: "Bu ateşin (erişme alanı) içinde olan herkes ve çevresindeki herkes kutlu kılınmıştır! Sınırsız kudretiyle yüceler yücesidir Allah, alemlerin Rabbi!" ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Oraya geldiğinde: -Ateşin içinde ve etrafında bulunanlar mübarek kılındı. Alemlerin Rabbi eksiklikten uzaktır diye seslenildi. ### Süleyman Ateş — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Oraya gelince (kendisine) seslenildi: "Ateşin içinde bulunan da, çevresinde olan da mübarek kılındı. Alemlerin Rabbi Allah, eksikliklerden münezzehtir." ### Yaşar Nuri Öztürk — Kur'an-ı Kerim Meali Musa ateşe vardığında şöyle çağrıldı. "Ateşteki kimse de ateşin çevresindekiler de kutsal ve bereketli kılınmıştır.
