Surah An-Nahl (The Bee) — سورة النحل - **Verse:** 27 / 128 · **Juz:** 14 · **Mushaf page:** 269 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-an-nahl/verse-27 ## Arabic ثُمَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ يُخْز۪يهِمْ وَيَقُولُ اَيْنَ شُرَكَٓاءِيَ الَّذ۪ينَ كُنْتُمْ تُشَٓاقُّونَ ف۪يهِمْۜ قَالَ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْعِلْمَ اِنَّ الْخِزْيَ الْيَوْمَ وَالسُّٓوءَ عَلَى الْكَافِر۪ينَۙ ## Transcription Thumma yawma alqiyamati yukhzeehimwayaqoolu ayna shuraka-iya allatheena kuntum tushaqqoonafeehim qala allatheena ootoo alAAilma inna alkhizyaalyawma wassoo-a AAala alkafireen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Then on the Day of Rising He will disgrace them, and say, ‘Where are My partner gods for whose sake you became so hostile?’ Those given knowledge will say, ‘Today there is disgrace and evil for the kafirun. ’ ### Progressive Muslims Then, on the Day of Resurrection He will humiliate them, and Say: "Where are My partners whom you used to dispute regarding them" Those who have received the knowledge said: "The humiliation today and misery is upon the rejecters. " ### Shabbir Ahmed On the Resurrection Day He will cover them with shame and say, "Where are My 'partners' for whose sake you opposed My Guidance?" Men and women blessed with knowledge will say, " This Day, indeed, are the rejecters covered with shame and misery. Those who have received the knowledge said: "The humiliation today and the misery are upon the rejecters." ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them and ask, "Where are My partners that you had set up beside Me, and had opposed Me for their sake?" Those blessed with knowledge will say, "Today, the shame and misery have befallen the disbelievers." ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira On the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and ask: "Where are My compeers for whom you contended?" Those endowed with knowledge will say: "Shame and evil surely are for unbelievers today. " ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and say, "Where are My 'partners' for whom you used to oppose [the believers]?" Those who were given knowledge will say, "Indeed disgrace, this Day, and evil are upon the disbelievers" - ### Muhammad Asad And then, on Resurrection Day, He will cover them [all] with ignominy, and will say: "Where, now, are those beings to whom you ascribed a share in My divinity, [and] for whose sake you cut yourselves off [from My guidance]?" [Whereupon] those who [in their lifetime] were endowed with knowledge will say: "Verily, ignominy and misery [have fallen] this day upon those who have been denying the truth- ### Marmaduke Pickthall Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and will say: Where are My partners, for whose sake ye opposed (My guidance)? Those who have been given knowledge will say: Disgrace this day and evil are upon the disbelievers, ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary And again, on the Day of Resurrection, He will bring them to disgrace, and say: "Tell Me, now, where are those to whom you ascribed a share in My Divinity, and for whose sake you disputed (with the upholders of the Truth)?" Those[1] who were endowed with knowledge (in the world) will say: "Surely today humiliation and misery shall be the lot of the unbelievers"; _Footnotes_ - [1] There is a gap between this answer and the preceding question which has been left for the reader to fill. When Allah will ask: Now where are My partners, there will be dead silence in the plain where the entire mankind shall have to gather on the occasion of Resurrection. The disbelievers and the mushriks will be dumb founded for they will be at a loss to find an answer to this. Then those who had been given knowledge will make the assertion, "Indeed, disgrace, this day, and evil are upon the disbelievers." ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And at Judgement they shall be put to shame and be asked about the whereabouts of those whom they once presumed divine and contended in their favour with opposing arguments against Allah's Omnipotence and Authority There and then shall the learned say: "This is the Day when disgrace and torment are laid upon those who presumed upon Providence". ### Bijan Moeinian God, on the Day of Resurrection will disgrace them and ask: "Where are those partners of Mine that you had invented for Me?" Those who were blessed with knowledge will say: “This is the Day that shame and misery will catch up with the disbelievers. ” ### Al-Hilali & Khan Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them and will say: "Where are My (so called) partners concerning whom you used to disagree and dispute (with the believers, by defying and disobeying Allâh)?" Those who have been given the knowledge (about the Torment of Allâh for the disbelievers) will say: "Verily! Disgrace and misery this Day are upon the disbelievers. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Then, on the Day of Judgment, He will cover them with shame, and say: "Where are My 'partners' concerning whom ye used to dispute (with the godly)?" Those endued with knowledge will say: "This Day, indeed, are the Unbelievers covered with shame and misery,- ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran Then on the Day of Judgment He will humiliate them and say, "Where are My ˹so-called˺ associate-gods for whose sake you used to oppose ˹the believers˺?" Those gifted with knowledge will say, “Surely disgrace and misery today are upon the disbelievers.” ### Taqi Usmani Then, on the Day of Judgment, He will put them to disgrace and will say, "Where are My partners for whose sake you used to quarrel (with the believers)?" Those endowed with knowledge will say, “Today, the disgrace and the evil (chastisement) has to befall the unbelievers, ### Abdul Haleem In the end, on the Day of Resurrection, He will shame them, saying, ‘Where are these "partners" of Mine on whose account you opposed [Me]?’ Those given knowledge will say, ‘Shame and misery on the disbelievers today!’ ### Arthur John Arberry Then on the Day of Resurrection He will degrade them, saying, 'Where are My associates concerning which you made a breach together?' Those that were given the knowledge will say, 'Degradation today and evil are on the unbelievers, ### E. Those to whom knowledge is brought will say, 'Verily, disgrace today, and evil are upon the misbelievers!' ### Hamid S. Aziz Then on the Day of Resurrection He will put them to shame, and say, "Where are My associates about whom you were divided into parties?" Those endowed with knowledge will say, "Verily, to-day disgrace, and evil cover the disbelievers, ### Mahmoud Ghali Thereafter, on the Day of the Resurrection He will disgrace them and He will say, "Where are My associates concerning which you used to oppose (the believers)?" The ones that were brought (the) knowledge will say, "Surely disgrace today and the odious (reward) will be on the disbelievers. " ### George Sale Also on the day of resurrection He will cover them with shame; and will say, where are my companions, concerning whom ye disputed? Those unto whom knowledge shall have been given, shall answer, this day shall shame and misery fall upon the unbelievers. ### Syed Vickar Ahamed Then, on the Day of Judgment (the Resurrection), He (Allah) will cover them with shame, and say: "Where are My 'partners' about whom you used to argue (with the believers)?" Those blessed with knowledge will say: "Truly, this Day, the disbelievers are covered with shame and misery— ### Amatul Rahman Omar (That is not all, ) then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and will say, `Where are My (so called) partners (associated with Me by you), for whose sake you used to oppose (My Prophets and the believers in truth). ' At that time those who have been given the knowledge would say, `Surely, this day disgrace and calamity shall be the lot of the disbelievers.' ### Ali Quli Qarai Then He will disgrace them on the Day of Resurrection, and say, ‘Where are My partners for whose sake you used to defy [Allah]?’ Those who were given knowledge will say, ‘Indeed today disgrace and distress pursue the faithless. ’ ### Ahmed Hulusi — Türkçe Kur'an Çözümü Sonra kıyamet sürecinde onları rezil - rüsva eder ve der ki: "Nerede onlar yüzünden bana karşı çıkıp düşman kesildiğiniz ortaklarım?". . . Kendilerine ılim verilmiş olanlar dediler ki: hakıkat bütün sefalet-ü zillet bu gün kafirlerin üstünedir. ### Elmalılı (sadeleştirilmiş) Sonra kıyamet gününde Allah, onları rezil edecek ve: "Hani, nerede o, kendileri uğrunda ayrılık çıkarıp düşman kesildiğiniz ortaklarım? diyecek. Kendilerine ilim verilmiş olanlar: "Gerçekten bugün rüsvaylık ve zillet kafirleredir." derler. ### Gültekin Onan Sonra (Tanrı) kıyamet günü onları aşağılık kılacak ve diyecek ki: "Haklarında (müminlere karşı) düşman kesildiğiniz ortaklarım hani nerede?" Kendilerine ilim verilenler dediler ki: "Bugün, gerçekten aşağılanma ve kötülük kafirlerin üstünedir." ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Sonra kıyamet gününde de (Allah) onları rüsvay edecek ve diyecek ki: "Hani sizin, uğurlarında (mü'minlere) düşman kesildiğiniz ortaklarım nerede"?! Kendilerine ilim verilen (mü'min) ler: "Bu gün, (dediler), hakıykat rüsvaylık, zillet ve azab kafirlerin üstündedir". ### İbni Kesir Sonra da kıyamet gününde onları rezil eder ve der ki: Haklarında tartıştığınız Benim ortaklarım nerede? Kendilerine bilgi verilmiş olanlar derler ki: Doğrusu bugün, rezillik ve zillet kafirleredir. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Sonra Kıyamet Günü'nde (Allah), "Hani nerede, o uğruna (doğru yoldan) ayrı düştüğünüz düzmece tanrılarınız!" diyerek onları(n hepsini) rüsvay edecektir.
