Surah An-Nahl (The Bee) — سورة النحل - **Verse:** 22 / 128 · **Juz:** 14 · **Mushaf page:** 268 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-an-nahl/verse-22 ## Arabic اِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ وَاحِدٌۚ فَالَّذ۪ينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ مُنْكِرَةٌ وَهُمْ مُسْتَكْبِرُونَ ## Transcription Ilahukum ilahun wahidunfallatheena la yu/minoona bil-akhiratiquloobuhum munkiratun wahum mustakbiroon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Your God is One God. As for those who do not have iman in the Next World, their hearts are in denial and they are puffed up with pride. ### Progressive Muslims Your god is One god. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are denying, and they are arrogant. ### Shabbir Ahmed Your God is One God. Those who call upon others are practical deniers of the life to come, since they ignore the tough accountability that awaits them. They are too proud to submit to the Supreme Authority. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation Your God is One God. And those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts deny, and they have waxed proud. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation Your god is One god. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are denying, and they are arrogant. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament Your god is one god. But the hearts of those who believe not in the life to come are filled with denial, and they are puffed up with pride. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Your god is one God. But those who do not believe in the Hereafter - their hearts are disapproving, and they are arrogant. ### Muhammad Asad Your God is the One God: but because of their false pride, the hearts of those who do not believe in the life to come refuse to admit this [truth]. ### Marmaduke Pickthall Your Allah is One Allah. But as for those who believe not in the Hereafter their hearts refuse to know, for they are proud. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Your God is the One God. But the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter are steeped in rejection of the Truth, and they are given to arrogance.[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] That is, those who do not believe in the life in the Hereafter, have become so irresponsible, carefree and intoxicated with the life of this world, that they feel no hesitation or pang in denying any reality, and they put no value on or attach no worth to truth. That is why, they are not prepared to impose any moral restraint on themselves and feel no need to investigate as to whether the way, they are following is right or wrong. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab In point of fact, things all around point clearly to you people that your Ilah is absolutely One Eternal Ilah. Those who deny Him simply close their hearts' ears and their minds' eyes and exercise inordinate self esteem and pride got the better of their prudence. ### Bijan Moeinian Know that your God is One God. It is in account of their arrogant that some People have chosen not to believe in the Hereafter. ### Al-Hilali & Khan Your Ilâh[2] (God) is One Ilâh (God - Allâh, none has the right to be worshipped but He). Ahirete inanmazların kalbleri (bunu) inkar edicidir. Onlar büyüksenen (kimse) lerdir. ### İbni Kesir İlahınız; tek bir ilahtır.
