Surah An-Nahl (The Bee) — سورة النحل - **Verse:** 107 / 128 · **Juz:** 14 · **Mushaf page:** 278 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-an-nahl/verse-107 ## Arabic ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمُ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْاٰخِرَةِۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِر۪ينَ ## Transcription Thalika bi-annahumu istahabbooalhayata addunya AAala al-akhiratiwaanna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alkafireen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley That is because they prefer the life of this world to the Next World and because Allah does not guide kafir people. ### Progressive Muslims That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter, and God does not guide the rejecting people. ### Shabbir Ahmed That is because they have chosen the life of this world only, ignoring the life to come.
