Surah Ali 'Imran (The Family of Imraan) — سورة آل عمران - **Verse:** 86 / 200 · **Juz:** 3 · **Mushaf page:** 60 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-86 ## Arabic كَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللّٰهُ قَوْماً كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ ا۪يمَانِهِمْ وَشَهِدُٓوا اَنَّ الرَّسُولَ حَقٌّ وَجَٓاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُۜ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِم۪ينَ ## Transcription Kayfa yahdee Allahu qawman kafaroobaAAda eemanihim washahidoo anna arrasoola haqqunwajaahumu albayyinatu wallahu layahdee alqawma aththalimeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley How can Allah guide a people who have become kafir after having had iman? They bore witness that the Messenger was true and that the Clear Signs had come to them. Allah does not guide people who are wrongdoers. ### Progressive Muslims How can God guide a people who have rejected after believing, and they witnessed that the messenger is true, and the clarity had come to them God does not guide the wicked people. ### Shabbir Ahmed Even Allah will not guide those who go back to their old ways after experiencing the blessings of Faith, and after witnessing that the Messenger is true and after they have been given solid proofs. For, God does not guide such evildoing folk. ### Marmaduke Pickthall How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and (after) they bore witness that the messenger is true and after clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty) had come unto them. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary How can Allah guide people who once believed, after they received clear signs and affirmed that the Messenger was a true one, lapsed into disbelief.[1] Allah does not guide the wrong-doers. _Footnotes_ - [1] This is a repetition of the statement made earlier, namely that the Jewish rabbis of Arabia in the time of the Prophet (peace be on him) knew, and sometimes even testified to verbally, that Muhammad was a true Prophet and that his teachings were the same as those of the earlier Prophets. Their subsequent attitude - namely that of rejection and opposition - was the outcome of prejudice and intransigence, born out of their centuries-old hostility to the Truth. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab How shall Allah consent to guide a people who intentionally deny Him after they have recognized Him and bore witness to the truth of His Messenger's mission? Oysa Allah, zulmedenler topluluğunu başarılı kılmaz. ### Gültekin Onan Kendilerine apaçık belgeler geldiği ve elçinin hak olduğuna şahid oldukları halde, inandıktan sonra küfreden bir kavmi Tanrı nasıl hidayete erdirir ? Tanrı zulmeden bir kavmi hidayete erdirmez. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Kendilerine apaçık deliller gelmiş, o peygamberin şübhesiz bir hak olduğuna şahidlik de etmişler iken imanlarının arkasından küfre sapan bir kavmi Allah nasıl hidayete erdirir (Muvaffak eder)?
