There is no god but Him, the Almighty, the All-Wise. ### Progressive Muslims God bears witness that there is no god but He, as do the Angels, and those with knowledge, He is standing with justice. Maintaining His creation in justice, there is no Allah save Him the Almighty, the Wise. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Allah Himself bears witness that there is no God but He;[1] and likewise do the angels and the men possessed of knowledge[2] bear witness in truth and justice that there is no God but He, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. _Footnotes_ - [1] The testimony in question is from God Himself, Who knows directly all the realities of the universe, Who observes every existing thing without obstruction. It is the testimony of the One from Whose sight nothing is hidden, and who can be a better first-hand witness than He? His testimony is that no one but He is possessed of the attributes of godhead; no one has the power to govern the universe, and no one has the right to claim the rights which belong exclusively to God. - [2] After God, the most trustworthy testimony is that of the angels, for they carry out the administration of the universe. The testimony of the angels, based on their own observations, is that the Will of God alone reigns supreme in the universe, and they turn to Him alone in the governance of the heavens and the earth. Moreover, all creatures possessing knowledge of reality have testified, unanimously, that no one except the One True God reigns and rules over the universe. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Allah’s unique creation corroborates His statement that there is no Ilah but Him and to this effect, the angels and the knowledgeable attest. He exercises His authority and power in maintenance and vindication of right by reward or punishment. There is no Ilah but Him, AL-Aziz and AL-Hakim. ### Bijan Moeinian God hereby witnesses that there is no Lord beside Him. The Angels and the learned men too stay by their Lord’s word. God manages His kingdom of creation with justice. There is no other God beside the Almighty, the Most Wise. ### Al-Hilali & Khan Allâh bears witness that Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He always) maintains His creation in Justice. Bugün müslümanların büyük çoğunluğu, Nebimiz Muhammed aleyhisselamın, ilim adamlarının ve din adamlarının ilah yapıldığının farkında değillerdir. Allah Teala Kur'an'ı sadece kendisinin bir ilme göre çok ayrıntılı bir şekilde açıkladığını, ([A'raf 7/52](https://quran.so/7/52)) ve o açıklamalara konuyu bilenlerden oluşan bir ekibin ulaşabileceğini ([Fussilet 41/3](https://quran.so/41/3)) bildirmiş, başkasının yapacağı açıklamayı kabul etmenin de onu ilah yapmak olduğunu açıkça ifade etmiştir ([Hud 11/1](https://quran.so/11/1)). Ama geleneksel yapı, bir çok ayeti gizlemiş, bir çoğuna da yanlış anlamlar vermiş ve Nebimiz Muhammed aleyhisselamın ayetleri açıklama yetkisinin olduğunu bütün Müslümanlara kabul ettirmiştir. Kur'an'ı açıklama yetkisi alimlere de verilerek mezhepler oluşturulmuş ve bir ilahlar piramidi meydana getirilmiştir.
