Surah Ali 'Imran (The Family of Imraan) — سورة آل عمران - **Verse:** 176 / 200 · **Juz:** 4 · **Mushaf page:** 72 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-176 ## Arabic وَلَا يَحْزُنْكَ الَّذ۪ينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِۚ اِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللّٰهَ شَيْـٔاًۜ يُر۪يدُ اللّٰهُ اَلَّا يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظًّا فِي الْاٰخِرَةِۚ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظ۪يمٌ ## Transcription Wala yahzunka allatheenayusariAAoona fee alkufri innahum lan yadurroo Allahashay-an yureedu Allahu alla yajAAala lahum haththanfee al-akhirati walahum AAathabun AAatheem ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Do not let those who rush headlong into kufr sadden you. They do not harm Allah in any way. Allah desires to assign no portion to them in the Next World. They will have a terrible punishment. ### Progressive Muslims And do not be saddened by those who rush into disbelief. They will not harm God in the least. God does not wish to make for them any share in the Hereafter, and they will have a painful retribution. ### Shabbir Ahmed Let not the conduct of those who rush to rejection, grieve you. They harm the Almighty Allah not the least bit. It is His Law that such people deprive themselves of any portion in the Hereafter. For them is an awful retribution. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And let not grieve thee those who compete in denial; they will never harm God at all. Indeed, they will never harm Allah at all. Allah intends that He should give them no share in the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment. ### Muhammad Asad And be not grieved by those who vie with one another in denying the truth: verily, they can in no wise harm God. It is God's will that they shall have no share in the [blessings of the] life to come; and tremendous suffering awaits them. ### Marmaduke Pickthall Let not their conduct grieve thee, who run easily to disbelief, for lo! they injure Allah not at all. It is Allah's Will to assign them no portion in the Hereafter, and theirs will be an awful doom. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Let not those who run towards disbelief grieve you; they shall not hurt Allah in the least. Allah will not provide for them any share in the Next Life. A mighty punishment awaits them. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Let not those who impel themselves heedlessly on infidelity grieve you O Muhammad. They shall not harm Allah in the least. Allah has intended to allot to them no share of the bliss Hereafter, and there awaits them a condign punishment. ### Bijan Moeinian Never let those who conveniently choose the disbelief to put you down. They can not harm the Lord the least. It is the intention of God to give them nothing good in the Hereafter and submit them to a miserable punishment. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And let not those grieve you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) who rush with haste to disbelieve; verily, not the least harm will they do to Allâh. It is Allâh’s Will to give them no portion in the Hereafter.
