Surah Al-Qasas (The Stories) — سورة القصص - **Verse:** 88 / 88 · **Juz:** 20 · **Mushaf page:** 395 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-qasas/verse-88 ## Arabic وَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهاً اٰخَرَۢ لَٓا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ۠ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ اِلَّا وَجْهَهُۜ لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَاِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ## Transcription Wala tadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahanakhara la ilaha illa huwa kullushay-in halikun illa wajhahu lahu alhukmuwa-ilayhi turjaAAoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Do not call on any other god along with Allah. There is no god but Him. All things are passing except His Face. Judgement belongs to Him. You will be returned to Him. ### Progressive Muslims And do not call besides God any god, there is no god but He. Everything will fade away except His presence. To Him is the judgment, and to Him you will be returned. ### Shabbir Ahmed (Keeping pristine the Divinely ordained System of Life) call not upon human 'authorities' and man-made systems as gods side by side with Allah. There is no god but He. Everything is mortal except His Eternal Self. To Him belong all Governance and all Judgment, and unto Him you shall be returned. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And call thou not with God to another god; there is no god save He. There is no deity except Him. Everything will be destroyed except His Face. His is the judgement, and to Him you will be returned. ### Muhammad Asad and never call upon any other deity side by side with God. There is no deity save Him. Everything is bound to perish, save His [eternal] self. With Him rests all judgment; and unto Him shall you all be brought back. ### Marmaduke Pickthall And cry not unto any other god along with Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Everything will perish save His countenance. His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary and do not invoke any god beside Allah. There is no god but He. All will perish but He. All created beings, the animate and the inanimate shall perish but not Him, the Creator of the whole and of all in all, Allah of countenance and Authority to whom belong the supremacy of the universe and to whom shall all of you be brought back. ### Bijan Moeinian Do not worship but God. There is no holiness butt God. Everything will perish but God. God has absolute power over everything and to Him will all of you return. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And invoke not any other ilâh (god) along with Allâh: Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Hüküm O'nundur ve siz O'na döndürüleceksiniz. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Allah ile birlikde diğer bir Tanrı daha (edinib) tapma (ona). Ondan başka hiç bir Tanrı yok. Onun zatinden başka her şey helak olucudur. Hüküm Onundur ve siz ancak Ona döndürül (üb götürül) eceksiniz. ### İbni Kesir Allah ile birlikte bir başka tanrıya yalvarma. O'ndan başka hiçbir ilah yoktur. O'nun zatından başka her şey helak olacaktır. Hüküm O'nundur ve sadece O'na döndürüleceksiniz. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Yani, Allah'la beraber tutup başka bir tanrıya yalvarmaya kalkma! (Çünkü) O'ndan başka tanrı yok; (çünkü) O'nun (ebedi) Zatı'ndan başka her şey, herkes, yok olmaya mahkumdur; hüküm bütünüyle O'nun elindedir ve sonunda O'na döndürüleceksiniz. ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Allah ile birlikte bir başka ilaha yalvarma.
