Surah Al-Qasas (The Stories) — سورة القصص - **Verse:** 44 / 88 · **Juz:** 20 · **Mushaf page:** 390 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-qasas/verse-44 ## Arabic وَمَا كُنْتَ بِجَانِبِ الْغَرْبِيِّ اِذْ قَضَيْنَٓا اِلٰى مُوسَى الْاَمْرَ وَمَا كُنْتَ مِنَ الشَّاهِد۪ينَۙ ## Transcription Wama kunta bijanibialgharbiyyi ith qadayna ila moosaal-amra wama kunta mina ashshahideen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley You were not on the western side when We gave Musa the command. You were not a witness. ### Progressive Muslims You were not on the western side of the mount when We decreed the command to Moses. You were not a witness. ### Shabbir Ahmed And (O Prophet) you were not present on the Western slope (of Mount Sinai) when We expounded the Commandments to Moses, nor were you among those who witnessed his times. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And thou wast not on the western side when We decreed to Moses the command, and thou wast not among the witnesses. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And you were not on the western slope when We decreed the command to Moses.
