Surah Al-Qasas (The Stories) — سورة القصص - **Verse:** 37 / 88 · **Juz:** 20 · **Mushaf page:** 389 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-qasas/verse-37 ## Arabic وَقَالَ مُوسٰى رَبّ۪ٓي اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ جَٓاءَ بِالْهُدٰى مِنْ عِنْدِه۪ وَمَنْ تَكُونُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِۜ اِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ ## Transcription Waqala moosa rabbee aAAlamubiman jaa bilhuda min AAindihi wamantakoonu lahu AAaqibatu addari innahu layuflihu aththalimoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Musa said, ‘My Lord knows best who has come with guidance from Him and who will have the best Home in the end. The wrongdoers will certainly not be successful.’ ### Progressive Muslims And Moses said: "My Lord is fully aware of who has brought the guidance from Him, and who will have the best deal in the Hereafter. The wicked never succeed." ### Shabbir Ahmed And Moses replied, "My Lord is best Aware as to who comes with Guidance from Him, and to whom the future belongs. Verily, the oppressors do not attain a happy state of mind." ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And Moses said: “My Lord best knows who brings guidance from Him, and whose will be the final outcome of the Abode; the wrongdoers are not successful.” ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And Moses said: "My Lord is fully aware of who has come with the guidance from Him, and who will have the best deal in the Hereafter. The wicked never succeed." ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament Moses said, "My Lord knows best who brought the guidance from Him, and who will be the ultimate victors. Surely, the transgressors never succeed." ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira But Moses said: "My Lord knows well who has come with guidance from Him, and for whom is the guerdon of Paradise. But surely the wicked will not prosper." ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And Moses said, "My Lord is more knowing [than we or you] of who has come with guidance from Him and to whom will be succession in the home. Indeed, wrongdoers do not succeed." ### Muhammad Asad And Moses replied: "My Sustainer knows best as to who comes with guidance from Him, and to whom the future belongs! Verily, never will evil­doers attain to a happy state!" ### Marmaduke Pickthall And Moses said: My Lord is Best Aware of him who bringeth guidance from His presence, and whose will be the sequel of the Home (of bliss). Lo! wrong-doers will not be successful. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Moses replied: "My Lord knows best who comes with guidance from Him, and also whose end will be the best in the Hereafter. As for the wrongdoers, they shall not prosper."[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] That is, "You think I am a magician and a forger, but my Lord is well aware of me. He knows what sort of a man is the person whom He has appointed as a messenger; and the final judgment rests with Him. If I am a liar, I shall meet an evil end; and if you are a liar, you should know that your end will not be good. In any case, the inevitable fact is that the unjust will not attain true success. He, who is not Allah’s messenger but falsely presents himself as a messenger for selfish motives, is also unjust and will not attain success. And the one who rejects a true messenger by false accusations and suppresses the truth by deceit and fraud, is also unjust and will never attain success." ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab " It is only Allah, " said Mussa, "Who knows those whom He sent with the spirit of truth guiding into all truth and He knows those who are destined to win the bliss Hereafter when the wrongful of actions shall not find one single instance of physical or spiritual prosperity. " ### Bijan Moeinian Moses told them: "My Lord knows what kind of a person I am that He has sent me to you as His Messenger [I am not a magician]. God knows very well who will be victorious in the end. The fact of the matter is, the wicked ones never succeed." ### Al-Hilali & Khan Mûsâ (Moses) said: "My Lord knows best him who came with guidance from Him, and whose will be the happy end in the Hereafter. Verily, the Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) will not be successful." ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Moses said: "My Lord knows best who it is that comes with guidance from Him and whose end will be best in the Hereafter: certain it is that the wrong-doers will not prosper." ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran Moses responded, "My Lord knows best who has come with ˹true˺ guidance from Him and will fare best in the end. Indeed, the wrongdoers will never succeed." ### Taqi Usmani Mūsā said, "My Lord is best aware of the one who has brought guidance from Him and who is going to meet the best end of the abode. It is certain that the wrongdoers will not succeed." ### Abdul Haleem Moses said, ‘My Lord knows best who comes with guidance from Him and who will have the final Home: wrongdoers will never succeed.’ ### Arthur John Arberry But Moses said, 'My Lord knows very well who comes with the guidance from Him, and shall possess the Ultimate Abode; surely the evildoers will not prosper. ' ### E. Henry Palmer Moses said, 'My Lord knows best who comes with guidance from Him, and whose shall be the issue of the abode. Verily, the unjust shall not prosper!' ### Hamid S. Aziz And when Moses came to them with Our manifest signs, they said, "This is naught but invented magic; we have not heard of this amongst our forefathers. " ### Mahmoud Ghali And Mûsa said, "My Lord knows best who comes with the guidance from His Providence and who will have the Home of the (Ultimate) End; surely the unjust will not prosper. " ### George Sale And Moses said, My Lord best knoweth who cometh with a direction from Him; and who shall have success in this life, as well as the next: But the unjust shall not prosper. ### Syed Vickar Ahamed Musa (Moses) said: "My Lord knows well who comes with guidance from Him and whose end will be the best in the Hereafter: It is sure that the wrongdoers will not prosper. " ### Amatul Rahman Omar And Moses said, `My Lord knows best who it is that has brought true guidance from Him, and who shall meet a good end in this world (and will have the reward of final abode in the Hereafter). The truth is that these wrongdoers shall never prosper.' ### Ali Quli Qarai Moses said, ‘My Lord knows best who brings guidance from Him, and in whose favour the outcome of that abode will be. The wrongdoers will not be felicitous.’ ### Ahmed Hulusi — Türkçe Kur'an Çözümü Musa dedi ki: "Rabbim daha iyi bilir, O'nun indinden kimin hakikat kılavuzu olarak geldiğini ve yurdun, sonunda kimin olacağını. . . Muhakkak ki zulmedenler kurtulamazlar. Gerçekten zulmedenler, felah bulmazlar." ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Muusa: "Rabbim, dedi, canib (i ilahisi) nden kimin hidayet getirdiğini, yurdun aakıbeti kimin olacağını daha iyi bilendir. Hakıykat şudur ki zaalimler asla felah bulmazlar". ### İbni Kesir Musa dedi ki: Rabbım, kimin hidayetle katından geldiğini ve bu yurdun sonunun kimin olacağını daha iyi bilir. Doğrusu zalimler, asla felah bulmazlar. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı (Musa:) "Kimin O'nun katından bahşedilmiş doğru yol bilgisiyle geldiğini, bu (geçici dünya) yurdu(nu)n sonunda kime kalacağını en iyi bilen benim Rabbimdir. Muhakkak olan şu ki, zalimler asla kurtuluşa, esenliğe erişemezler!" diye karşılık verdi. ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı -Rabbim, kimin kendi katından doğru yolu göstermek için getirdiğini ve ülkenin sonunda kimin olacağını daha iyi bilir. Zalimler asla kurtuluşa eremezler dedi. ### Süleyman Ateş — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Musa, "Rabbim, kimin kendisinin yanından hidayet getirdiğini ve bu (dünya) evin(in) sonun(da güzel sonuc)un kime aidolacağını daha iyi biliyor. Kuşkusuz, haksızlık yapanlar, kurtuluşa erişemezler!" ### Süleymaniye Vakfı (Eski Baskı) — Süleymaniye Vakfı Meali Musa dedi ki: "Rabbim, kendi katından gerçeği gösterenin kim olduğunu ve bu ülkenin sonunda kime kalacağını çok iyi bilir. Şurası kesin ki, yanlış yapanlar umduklarını bulamayacaklardır." ### Mehmet Okuyan — Kur’an Meal-Tefsir Musa ise şöyle demişti: "Rabbim, kendi katından kimin hidayet getirdiğini ve yurdun (bu dünyanın) sonunun kimin olacağını çok iyi bilendir."
