Surah Al-Qalam (The Pen) — سورة القلم - **Verse:** 17 / 52 · **Juz:** 29 · **Mushaf page:** 564 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-qalam/verse-17 ## Arabic اِنَّا بَلَوْنَاهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَٓا اَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِۚ اِذْ اَقْسَمُوا لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِح۪ينَۙ ## Transcription Inna balawnahum kamabalawna as-haba aljannati ith aqsamoolayasrimunnaha musbiheen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We have tried them as We tried the owners of the garden when they swore that they would harvest in the morning ### Progressive Muslims We have tested them like We tested those who owned the paradise, when they swore that they will harvest it in the morning. ### Shabbir Ahmed Behold, We have tried such people as We tried the owners of the garden who swore that they would pluck its fruit in the morning. They disregarded alms which are but the vehicles of prayer. ### Bijan Moeinian These people are tried the same way that your Lord tried the owners of the most fruitful gardens who said: "Tomorrow is the that that we will gather the fruits of our garden.
