Surah Al-Munafiqun (The Hypocrites) — سورة المنافقون - **Verse:** 7 / 11 · **Juz:** 28 · **Mushaf page:** 554 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-munafiqun/verse-7 ## Arabic هُمُ الَّذ۪ينَ يَقُولُونَ لَا تُنْفِقُوا عَلٰى مَنْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ حَتّٰى يَنْفَضُّواۜ وَلِلّٰهِ خَزَٓائِنُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَلٰكِنَّ الْمُنَافِق۪ينَ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ ## Transcription Humu allatheena yaqooloona latunfiqoo AAala man AAinda rasooli Allahi hattayanfaddoo walillahi khaza-inu assamawatiwal-ardi walakinna almunafiqeena layafqahoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley They are the people who say, ‘Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah, so that they may go away. ’ The treasuries of the heavens and earth belong to Allah. But the hypocrites do not understand this. ### Progressive Muslims They are the ones who Say: "Do not spend on those who are with the messenger of God, unless they abandon him!" And to God belongs the treasures of the heavens and the Earth, but the hypocrites do not comprehend. ### Shabbir Ahmed They it is who say, "Spend nothing on those with Allah's Messenger, so that they disperse (and leave the city). " However, to Allah belong the Treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites comprehend not. ('Ansar' the Muslim residents of Madinah were supporting the needy 'Muhajirin' or immigrants from Makkah). ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation Those are they who say: “Spend not on those with the messenger of God until they disband.” And to God belong the treasuries of the heavens and the earth; but the waverers understand not. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation They are the ones who say: "Do not spend on those who are with the messenger of God, unless they abandon him!" However, GOD possesses the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not comprehend. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira They are the ones who say: "Do not spend on those who are with the Apostle of God till they break away (from him). " To God belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the hypocrites do not understand. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) They are the ones who say, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disband. " And to Allah belongs the depositories of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand. ### Muhammad Asad It is they who say [to their compatriots], "Do not spend anything on those who are with God's Apostle, so that they [may be forced to] leave. " However, unto God belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth: but this truth the hypocrites cannot grasp. ### Marmaduke Pickthall They it is who say: Spend not on behalf of those (who dwell) with Allah's messenger that they may disperse (and go away from you); when Allah's are the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the hypocrites comprehend not. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary It is they who say: "Give nothing to those who are with the Messenger of Allah so that they may disperse." (They say so although) the treasures of the heavens and the earth belong to Allah. But the hypocrites do not understand. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab It was they who said to the people: "Wherefore do you spend money on those accompanied by Allah's Messenger -who emigrated with him to Madina- and spend yourselves in their cause?" "Put a stop, " they said, "and refrain from spending on them until they have forsaken him and quitted Madina". But to Allah, be it known, belongs the rightful possession of treasuries of the heavens and the earth; but the hypocrites do nod comprehend this as a fact. ### Bijan Moeinian The hypocrites say: "Do not help the Muslims with your economic resources so that they abandon him. " Do not these hypocrites understand that the whole wealth in the universe belongs to Almighty? ### Al-Hilali & Khan They are the ones who say: "Spend not on those who are with Allâh’s Messenger, until they desert him." And to Allâh belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites comprehend not. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali They are the ones who say, "Spend nothing on those who are with Allah's Messenger, to the end that they may disperse (and quit Medina)." But to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the Hypocrites understand not. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran They are the ones who say ˹to one another˺, "Do not spend ˹anything˺ on those ˹emigrants˺ with the Messenger of Allah so that they will break away ˹from him˺." But to Allah ˹alone˺ belong the treasuries of the heavens and the earth, yet the hypocrites do not comprehend. ### Taqi Usmani They are those who say, "Do not spend on those who are with Allah’s Messenger until they disperse. But to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth, and the hypocrites understand not. ### Mahmoud Ghali They are the ones who say, "Do not expend on the ones who are in the presence of the Messenger of Allah until they break away. " And to Allah belong the treasuries of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not comprehend. ### George Sale These are the men who say to the inhabitants of Medina, do not bestow any thing on the refugees who are with the apostle of God, that they may be obliged to separate from him. Fakat ikiyüzlüler anlayıp kavrayamazlar. ### Ali Bulaç — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Türkçe Anlamı Onlar ki: "Allah'ın Resulü yanında bulunanlara hiçbir infak (harcama)da bulunmayın, sonunda dağılıp gitsinler," derler. Oysa göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır. Ancak münafıklar kavramıyorlar. ### Bayraktar Bayraklı — Yeni Bir Anlayışın Işığında Kur'an Meali Onlar, "Allah'ın peygamberinin yanında bulunanlara yardım etmeyiniz ki etrafından dağılıp gitsinler" diyenlerdir. Göklerin ve yerin bütün hazineleri yalnız Allah'ındır. Fakat münafıklar bu gerçeği anlamazlar. ### Diyanet İşleri — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Meali Onlar, "Allah Resulü'nün yanında bulunanlara (muhacirlere) bir şey vermeyin ki dağılıp gitsinler" diyenlerdir. Halbuki göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır. Fakat münafıklar (bunu) anlamazlar. ### Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Onlardır ki "Resulullahın yanındakilere nafaka vermeyin taki dağılsınlar" diyorlar. Halbuki Göklerin ve Yerin hazineleri Allahındır ve lakin Münafıklar anlamazlar ### Elmalılı (sadeleştirilmiş) Onlar: "Allah'ın Resulünün yanındakilere nafaka vermeyin ki, dağılsınlar!" diyorlar. Oysa göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır, fakat münafıklar anlamazlar. ### Gültekin Onan Onlar ki: "Tanrı'nın Resulü yanında bulunanlara hiçbir infak (harcama)da bulunmayın, sonunda dağılıp gitsinler" derler. Oysa göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Tanrı'nındır. Ancak münafıklar kavramazlar (la yefkahun). ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Onlar öyle kimselerdir ki "Allahın peygamberi nezdinde bulunan kimseleri beslemeyin. Taki dağılıb gitsinler" diyorlardı. Halbuki göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allahındır. Fakat o münafıklar ince anlamazlar. ### İbni Kesir Onlar öyle kimselerdir ki; Allah'ın peygamberinin yanında bulunanlar için hiç bir şey infak etmeyin de dağılıp gitsinler, derler. Halbuki göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır. Ama o münafıklar, bunu anlamazlar. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Onlar, (hemşehrilerine): "Allah'ın Elçisi ile birlikte olanlara hiçbir şey vermeyin ki belki o'nu terk et(mek zorunda kal)ırlar" derler. Göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır ama bu gerçeği ikiyüzlüler kavrayamaz. ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Onlar; -Allah'ın Resulünün yanındaki kimselere infakta bulunmayın ki dağılıp gitsinler, diyenlerdir. Oysa göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır; ama münafıklar anlayamazlar. ### Süleyman Ateş — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Onlar öyle kimselerdir ki: "Allah'ın Elçisinin yanında bulunanları beslemeyin ki dağılıp gitsinler" diyorlar. Oysa göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır, fakat münafıklar anlamazlar. ### Yaşar Nuri Öztürk — Kur'an-ı Kerim Meali Onlar: "Allah resulünün yanındakilere infak edip bir şey vermeyin ki dağılıp gitsinler!" diyen kişilerdir. Oysaki göklerin ve yerin hazineleri, Allah'ın tekelindedir. Ama münafıklar bunu anlamazlar. ### Mustafa İslamoğlu — Hayat Kitabı Kur’an Onlar, "Rasulullah'ın yanındakilere yardımda bulunmayın ki (etrafından) dağılıp gitsinler" diyen kimselerdir. Bakın, göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'a aittir; fakat münafıklar (bu gerçeği bile) kavramıyorlar. ### Erhan Aktaş (Eski Baskı) — Kerim Kur'an Onlar, Allah'ın Rasul'ünün yanında bulunanlara, "Yardım etmeyin ki, dağılıp gitsinler." diyenlerdir. Oysa göklerin ve yeryüzünün kaynakları, Allah'ın malıdır; fakat ikiyüzlüler anlamazlar. ### Süleymaniye Vakfı (Eski Baskı) — Süleymaniye Vakfı Meali Onlar, şu sözü söyleyebilen kimselerdir: "Allah'ın elçisinin yanında yer alanlara bir şey vermeyin ki dağılsınlar!" Oysa göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır, ama münafıklar bunu anlamazlar. ### Mehmet Okuyan — Kur’an Meal-Tefsir Onlar "Allah'ın Elçisi'nin yanında bulunanlara infak etmeyin (vermeyin) ki dağılıp gitsinler!" diyenlerdir.[1] Oysa göklerin ve yerin hazineleri yalnızca Allah'a aittir.
