There are Signs in that. We are always putting people to the test.

This (drowning of the wicked people) should serve you as an example. I always put people to the test (and Noah’s people are not the last ones as claimed in the existing Bible. See Genesis 9:11.)
Verily, in this , there are indeed Ayât (proofs, evidence, lessons, signs, etc. for men to understand), for sure We are ever putting (men) to the test.
