Surah Al-Ma'idah (The Feast) — سورة المائدة - **Verse:** 83 / 120 · **Juz:** 7 · **Mushaf page:** 121 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-83 ## Arabic وَاِذَا سَمِعُوا مَٓا اُنْزِلَ اِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرٰٓى اَعْيُنَهُمْ تَف۪يضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا مِنَ الْحَقِّۚ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَٓا اٰمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِد۪ينَ ## Transcription Wa-itha samiAAoo ma onzila ilaarrasooli tara aAAyunahum tafeedu mina addamAAimimma AAarafoo mina alhaqqi yaqooloona rabbanaamanna faktubna maAAa ashshahideen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley When they listen to what has been sent down to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they recognise of the truth. They say, ‘Our Lord, we have iman! So write us down among the witnesses. ### Progressive Muslims And if they hear what was sent down to the messenger you see their eyes flooding with tears, for what they have known as the truth, they Say: "Our Lord, we believe, so record us with the witnesses. " ### Shabbir Ahmed When they listen to what has been revealed to the Messenger, you (O Prophet) see their eyes overflow with tears because of their recognition of the Truth. They say, "Our Lord!
