Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave) — سورة الكهف - **Verse:** 64 / 110 · **Juz:** 15 · **Mushaf page:** 300 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-kahf/verse-64 ## Arabic قَالَ ذٰلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبْغِۗ فَارْتَدَّا عَلٰٓى اٰثَارِهِمَا قَصَصاًۙ ## Transcription Qala thalika ma kunnanabghi fartadda AAala atharihimaqasasa ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley He said, ‘That is the very thing that we were looking for!’ So, following their footsteps, they retraced their route. ### Progressive Muslims He said: "That is what we have been seeking!" So they went back retracing their steps. ### Shabbir Ahmed Moses said, "That is what we were seeking!" And the two turned back retracing their footsteps. So they retraced their steps again. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Moses said: "That is what we were looking for."[1] So the two turned back, retracing their footsteps, _Footnotes_ - [1] That is, the same was the sign of the place of our destination. This shows that Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) had taken this journey at Allah’s behest to meet His servant.
