Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave) — سورة الكهف - **Verse:** 63 / 110 · **Juz:** 15 · **Mushaf page:** 300 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-kahf/verse-63 ## Arabic قَالَ اَرَاَيْتَ اِذْ اَوَيْنَٓا اِلَى الصَّخْرَةِ فَاِنّ۪ي نَس۪يتُ الْحُوتَۘ وَمَٓا اَنْسَان۪يهُ اِلَّا الشَّيْطَانُ اَنْ اَذْكُرَهُۚ وَاتَّخَذَ سَب۪يلَهُ فِي الْبَحْرِۗ عَجَباً ## Transcription Qala araayta ith awaynaila assakhrati fa-innee naseetu alhootawama ansaneehu illa ashshaytanuan athkurahu wattakhatha sabeelahu fee albahriAAajaba ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley He said, ‘Do you see what has happened? When we went to find shelter at the rock, I forgot the fish. No one made me forget to remember it except Shaytan. It found its way into the sea in an amazing way.’ ### Progressive Muslims He said: "Do you remember when we rested upon the rock I forgot the fish, and it was the devil that made me forget to remember it. It made its way back to the sea amazingly!" ### Shabbir Ahmed Said his friend, "Would you believe it? When we rested at the rock, I forgot about the fish and none but Satan, my wandering thoughts, made me forget it. And it took its way into the sea.
