Surah Al-Jinn (The Jinn) — سورة الجن - **Verse:** 16 / 28 · **Juz:** 29 · **Mushaf page:** 572 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-jinn/verse-16 ## Arabic وَاَنْ لَوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّر۪يقَةِ لَاَسْقَيْنَاهُمْ مَٓاءً غَدَقاًۙ ## Transcription Waallawi istaqamoo AAala attareeqatilaasqaynahum maan ghadaqa ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley If only they were to go straight on the Path, We would give them abundant water to drink ### Progressive Muslims And had they walked on the right path, We would have provided them with abundant water. ### Shabbir Ahmed (Such was their conversation. ) Now, if they take an unwavering stand on the Highest Discipline, We will shower them with abundant bounties. ('Tareeqah' = Layer upon layer arranged in great harmony = Discipline = Way = Course. 'At-Tareeqah' = The Highest Discipline = Divine Revelation. Seek forgiveness of Allah. He will send abundant rains for you from heaven. (For explanation, see( E.N. 12 of Surah Nooh). Abundance of water has been used for abundance of blessings metaphorically for human life, and habitations also depend on water.
