Surah Al-Jathiyah (Crouching) — سورة الجاثية - **Verse:** 27 / 37 · **Juz:** 25 · **Mushaf page:** 500 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-jathiyah/verse-27 ## Arabic وَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ الْمُبْطِلُونَ ## Transcription Walillahi mulku assamawatiwal-ardi wayawma taqoomu assaAAatuyawma-ithin yakhsaru almubtiloon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley The kingdom of the heavens and earth belongs to Allah and, on the Day that the Hour arrives, that Day the liars will be lost. ### Progressive Muslims And to God is the sovereignty of the heavens and the Earth. And on the Day the Hour comes to pass, on that Day the falsifiers will lose. ### Shabbir Ahmed For, unto Allah belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the earth. And the Day the Hour appears - that Day the falsifiers will lose. ### Muhammad Asad For, God’s is the dominion over the heavens and the earth; and on the Day when the Last Hour dawns - on that Day will be lost all who [in their lifetime] tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand]. ### Marmaduke Pickthall And unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and on the day when the Hour riseth, on that day those who follow falsehood will be lost. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth,[1] and on the Day when the Hour (of Resurrection) shall come to pass, the followers of falsehood shall be in utter loss. _Footnotes_ - [1] In view of the context, this sentence by itself gives the meaning that it is not at all beyond the power of God Who is ruling over this great and marvelous universe that He should bring the human beings whom He has created in the first instance back into existence once again. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And to Him belong the sovereignty and the absolute controlling power of the heavens and the earth, and when the predetermined final Hour arrives at the defined time, there and then, shall those who assert falsehood lose their way and incur the loss of every attribute they formerly possessed. ### Bijan Moeinian God [has created and] governs over the heavens and the earth [therefore he is capable of re-creating it again].
